Join the Penn State Alumni Association on Feb. 7 for a special PSAA Presents virtual demonstration. Learn the ins and outs of winter seed sowing with the help of master gardener Andy Faust!
Andy will walk participants through the process of creating and filling containers and provide answers to any general gardening questions that might come up.

-Empty gallon jug
-Drill or ice pick for making drainage holes
-Scissors or sharp knife
-String or pipe cleaners
-Marker
-Labels
-Soilless potting mix
-Seeds: flowers, vegetables, or herbs
Andy Faust has spent over 17 years in the green industry, with various private and public organizations, including Lesco, John Deere and SiteOne Supply. He currently serves as education and strategy manager and master gardener coordinator with Penn State Extension. Andy is a 1998 graduate of Penn State, earning a BS in Landscape Contracting and a minor in Agricultural Business. He also holds an MBA from Jack Welch Management Institute. Andy resides in Port Matilda with his wife Andrea and their two sons, Zander and Spencer.
