HIGHLIGHTS FROM TODAY’S SHOW:

Although flood water subsided in many areas across Trinidad, the Trantrill Road in St Augustine remains underwater after several days.

For a second consecutive day in Woodland, several residents remain marooned in their homes, as well as business places being closed, as the community is still under flood waters.

After emergency crews spent hours clearing debris from a hillside which slipped down at Wilson Road in Penal on Wednesday 09th November 2022, they had to be recalled after more debris cascaded down, blocking the pathway once again on Thursday 10th November, 2022.
On Wednesday 09th November, 2022:
• The workers cleared over 20 trees that cascaded downhill, which also pulled down electrical lines.
• A mandir at the top of the hill was also in danger of collapsing.

Thousands of residents in the Northern and Eastern parts of Trinidad, as well as certain parts in Tobago have no pipe borne water access after W.A.S.A. was forced to take 12 plants offline, due to the adverse weather conditions, which hindered the plants’ operations.

After $441 million was spent to do repairs on the red house in Port-of-Spain, in January 2020, MPs of the house of representatives who usually gather in the north chamber, will be meeting in the south chamber after part of the ceiling recently collapsed on Saturday 05th November, 2022.

Although the murder toll for 2022 is expected to be the highest in the recorded history of Trinidad and Tobago, it is understood that over the past five years, this country has seen an upsurge in murders.
in 2017: 496 murders were recorded.
in 2018: 515 murders were recorded.
in 2019: 538 murders were recorded.
in 2020: 402 murders were recorded.
in 2021: 416 murders were recorded.
in 2022: with approximately 50 more days left for the year, 527 murders were already recorded.

A man identified as 27-year-old Jessie Rogers of #2 Enterprise Street, Longdenville, Chaguanas was found shot to death in the trunk of a car along Maracas Royal Road, St Joseph on Friday 11th November, 2022.

An unidentified man was shot by officers of the central division task force, at Pranz Gardens, Claxton Bay on Friday 11th November 2022.
