  1. My garden pretty much failed this year, but I learned so much. I was able to finally have a meal from my garden. I made a beautiful salad with lettuce, green chard, beet greens, tomatos and peppers (that I let ripen on the window sill), as well as some small carrots that I thinned from one of my totes.
The desert rats got all my broccoli and spinach, and tried their best to take all my beets. But I moved them where the rats couldn't get them, and they are trying to make a comeback.
    Wish my plants luck. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  2. My zucchini, banana peppers, Swiss Chard, collards, chocolate cherry tomatoes, lettuce, green onions, chives and potty pan squash are still going strong.

  3. After the holidays it is going to be spring before we know it. I can't wait to get some of the things growing that you have in you garden. I love your tours and they always make me want to start planting again. However it has been nice to have a break and only have a few plants going. I'm trying to overwinter pepper plants and so far they seem to be doing okay. Jan and Feb are our coldest months in Texas so I'll soon know if it is going to work. Give Kitty a hug from me and tell Gary hello. Have a wonderful Merry Christmas.

  4. Hi Robbie and Gary, Merry Christmas to you both. God Bless you both in all things. Amen.
    Sherry πŸ™‚

  5. Love this video Robbie as usual😊 love you and Gary and Kitty and all your wonderful fur babies. MERRY CHRISTMAS to my favorite πŸ‘« couple and a very Happy and healthful NEW YEAR 2022. With love and God's blessings from your friend in Pennsylvania.πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ¦ŽπŸΎπŸΎπŸ’žπŸŒ±πŸπŸπŸŒ΅πŸŽ„πŸŽ‰ Love you guys!!πŸ’•πŸ‘‹

  6. On the apple seedling trees one way to train them is cut them back to your knees height to encourage very low branching then double prune summer and winter and keep them only five to six feet tall. Quantity of fruit want be affected and you can manage the whole tree so much easier when you can stand and reach over the trees to access all of them.

  7. My sis used to do that, time herself for 15 or 20 minutes and in between she would have the laundry going, or when that was done she would do something else and keep doing that with a timer. Got much more done that way.

  8. I wish you and your a very Merry Christmas! πŸ™‚ I enjoyed the garden tour as usual. I grew San Marzano tomatoes for the first time this year and I still have a plant giving us fruit! I moved it into my cheap lean to greenhouse and it's so happy. I topped it two times to ripen the fruit faster but it wants to grow…it keeps putting out blooms everywhere!πŸ˜„

  9. Enjoyed the video and am looking forward to your garden recipes this upcoming year. It’s nice to see how real gardeners actually use the produce from their gardens and how different it is using the garden to cook with instead of getting what you need from the grocery store. I’ve used a few of the recipes you have shared already. Thanks again!
Merry Christmas to you and yours. πŸŽ„

  10. Thanks again for your garden tour!! Say it isn't so…..the last one of the year??!!😲 How will we do without your cheerful spirit coming through your videos???
Hope you and Gary and your family have a wonderful holiday time together. God bless you and yours!! And a happy New year, too!! See you soon!! Take care and have a wonderful day!! 😊

  11. Are you sure you're not Mrs and Mr Claus ?!! The gifts you keep on giving !!! Have wonderful holidays that for us last, honestly all year thanxxxxxxx to you ❀

  12. I really enjoy your garden tours! The weather is mild here in Northern Illinois, but still too cold to grow outside. I hope you and Gary have a wonderful holiday season and I'm looking forward to all you have planned for the new year!

  13. Wow! Wonderful πŸ‘ŒπŸΏπŸ‘ŒπŸΏπŸ‘
Watched the full video. You r an original gardener, growing soo much in just anything πŸ˜˜πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’ž

  14. This year I have tried to put out sugary water for humming birds when I am home. I travel a lot and cannot be diligent in furnishing water every few days and have to wait till I return home. Hence, I don’t expect they will stay long enough. Lately It has been cold and raining (NorCal 9b). I thought those little angels already moved south. To my surprise, they are still here. They live in my loquat tree that keeps blooming over the winter and my neighbor’s pine trees.

I do believe the kinda regular supply of water has attracted them. The loquat tree has been in my yard for more than twenty years but never have I had those β€˜β€œresident” humming birds this time of the year! Such a reward! Maybe they have learned to accommodate my schedule 😁. I will keep doing next year of course.

  15. I enjoy the garden walks, even when you aren't doing anything in particular! You're good morning company. A cup of joe, a garden walk – GREAT way to start the day! Thank you and thanks to Gary for sharing your garden and your various projects – it's ALL fantastic!!

  16. Wow alot of your garden still going strong. Nice. Thank you for sharing.πŸŒŸπŸ’šπŸŒ·πŸŒΎπŸ€πŸπŸ‚πŸŒΏ

  17. Wait what's that? There are 2 types of moringa? Didn't know this. I suppose I have the tall one since 1 of my plants got over 6ft tall. I trim them now so they don't get so tall.

  18. Happy Holiday Season to you both. πŸŽ„Million Thank You for your information and videos. πŸŽ‰

  19. I need to tell my Mother about what your Yorkies eat I don't think she's ever given them broccoli she use to raise them but only has her pets now … 🌲β™₯️🌲β™₯️🌲β™₯️🌲β™₯️🌲

  20. Am thinking of how to plant by small garden in the spring. I will not plant by tomatoes in 5 gallon container because they got top heavy and when it was winding they kept falling over. They will either go in the ground or in totes. Will scale down on pepper I planted too much. Overall had lots of success this garden season. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

  21. Hi Robbie and Gary I wanted to add a comment for kindness Wednesday I know I am a little late with it but here goes. I really love both you guys and all that you do to inspired so many people especially during these trying difficult times. Please never stop I just love you your fur babies and your kindness and love for nature.πŸ™πŸ’žπŸ˜ŠπŸΎπŸΎπŸ¦ŽπŸŒ±

  22. Robbie I cannot believe it's already December already too, I love that you're still getting plenty of food!!! I can't wait for spring.

  23. If you just take a role of duct tape and a sharpie you could have your roots labeled in 5 minutes. Then you could clean all the dead stuff out

  24. Hey Robbie thank you so much for all your wisdom! Where could I find black turmeric seeds? Looking forward to seeing what you do next year😍

  25. The tree collards are they seeds you get or where do you usually find those have never seen or tried before.
