I have the best results growing this variety of spinach and it is easy to order online. Since I am planting 3 Greenstalks full of spinach this year, I ordered 3 packs:

Fall is in the air and I've also been getting my containers emptied and ready for new plantings. Spinach is one of my favorites too along with broccoli and cauliflower.
Beautiful š·š·
About your hydrangea sun exposure.: I have to keep mine in mostly shade (6-7hrs of dample shade) If in full sun mine will burn. I keep mine in a large pot that i bury the bass so it makes it through the winter. Also the more nitrogen and gets the more bluish-purple it'll be. Hopefully my info helps. God bless you and your family . My condolences for your loss.
The large chive plant may be garlic chives. One way to tell if it is are the leave are more flat shaped than round on garlic chives.
Haha, love the scary spider music! As always, lovely garden tour. Thank you!
Thank you for the tour, Donna. You are so very good at explaining the plants habits and harvests. The containers look nice and tidy. I knooooooooooow you like tidy. :o) Your spider clip made me laugh with the music drama you added. You are very good at editing. May all go well with the addition of your Mom to you home. Blessing to you my friend. Stay safe and healthy.
YourĀ container garden looks just beautiful.
I too have shade everywhere.Ā Like others have said. I have hydrangeas that are in 3-4 hours of dappled sun and then shade but still bloom very well.Ā It also depends on the hydrangea.Ā Its a very forgiving plant,Ā I have never killed a hydrangea.Ā I think it likes to be well watered and fluffy fertileĀ soil toĀ beĀ its best.Ā Think forest floor.
The thyme and oregano you have in pots, do you cut them back to just above their woody stems in preparation for the winter? Or just let them go dormant as they want to? In which case do you cut them back in spring?Ā Ā It's mid September, is it still ok to cut sprigs here and there for cooking?
You grow so many interesting herbs so I ask:Ā do you grow Zaatar, Origanum syriacum?Ā Sounds like such an interesting herb, tastes/smells like a combination of thyme, oregano and marjoram,Ā I think I will try it next year.
I donāt know much about your zone but I live in Western Washington zone 8B, I love hydrangeas because they are such a low maintenance beautiful shrub. They do like acidic soil but they can tolerate a variety it just changes the color of the blooms, around here they even do very well in shade they probably donāt like full sun or theyāll get dry and crispy though. I grow them very similar as our rhododendrons.
Sorry you guys lost your stepdad/spouse.
Hugs for your mom. Sheāll see him again! But then sheāll be crying tears of joy instead of sorrow.
Iām glad she can be with you guys and hope that can be of some comfort to her.
Hugs! Glad to see you posting. Itās something sweet to look forward to.
Also- I loved your little spider attacking cameo
, and the sound effects. Made me laugh.
Thanks for the tour! I need to do some work in my garden, maybe this will motivate me to get outside a bit in the morning. It's supposed to get hot again so I avoid being outside later in the day. I couldn't find Teton spinach in any of the stores, so maybe I'll try again next year – I've never grown it before. BTW the scream as the spider pulled the bug over cracked me up!
Hello Donna….I was wondering if you had any pest problems growing your cucumbers in the Green Stalk? Are you finding less pests in the Green Stalk than in your Square Foot Garden? Just curious. Thanks for all of the informative videos…I sure do enjoy them!
So beautiful and informative gardening uploadš¹š¹š¹š¹š¹
Hello I am trying to find and purchase the 3 items you reccomended to start my greenstalk planter. Could you tell me the amounts of each that I would need for the bigger planter. It is hard to find the vermiculite what other brand do you like if the palmetto corse is not available? I am looking for Lambert Peat Moss, Organic Compst and Vermiculite. Wondering what the amounts I would need to fill a greenstalk. Thank you and I enjoy your videos
I am starting my greenstalk as soon as it arrives. I am having trouble finding Organic compost you reccomended. If you don't mind are there any other brands you like?

I can't believe that a fruit producing plant, like cucumber, can grow in those tiny cells. Amazing! Thank you for the tour š
