Hello! My name is Bethany and I grow things in my rooftop container garden in Chicago, zone 6a. I am by no means an expert, just someone who enjoys sharing my garden journey.

In today’s video, I’m removing dahlias and morning glory from my garden as well as harvesting herbs.

  1. Fall is definitely here…it was a quick transition this year. That pesto basil is amazing…those variegated leaves and flowers! Need to get that one into my garden next year 🙂

  2. you are my hero of the day! I have been contemplating on pulling up my dahlias even though I know I shouldn't.
They are looking a hot mess.
my dahlias are in containers can't wait to cut them down and pull the bulbs when its time. 😊

  3. They sell herb strippers that make the job really fast. Plastic piece with different sized holes you pull the stem thru 👏

  4. Cutting down my morning glory and moonflower is going to be so exhausting 😅. Yes, I was so disappointed with drying basil. The flowers are beautiful. I'm really into ornamental grasses…those look cool.
