I missed live. I have so many that will not make it this year. Have had 5 bunched. Have about 15 on my trees now.. They are exposed to the weather. I have 4 patches of bananas. Will start another one next year. Happy farming! That rain is coming my way.
You can spin the fibre into yarn and knit or crochet it into cords, weave with it, make rugs, etc. But I'd never seen it in action. This was cool, guys. Thanks for sharing!
Peace and blessings brother. How did learn so much about gardening ? I'm just trying stuff but most of it works , luckily. I love to see yall dedication.
Hello Grow Family Network!! Loved your episode of Bananas in your High Tunnel. Want to comment that the long tough stiff fibers can be used for manufacturing of paper bags, and wrapping paper. Also liner boards. Keep up the good work. You guys have amazing videos!!
I just recently watched your post about the Mississippi River and saw the rain dance. It worked my young brother; it just started raining here in Snellville, GA.! Thank you
Very uplifting video for me, with the fantastic rain sounds. Also seeing you two feeling happy with your banana harvest and the chickens happy with their surprise snack. When you really need rain and it comes down hard it's just so good for your soul. Thankful you shared it this morning. ❤
Hi K n B – enjoy your Saturday morning Garden shows (they make me smile & dream) *a note about the banana palm fiber – a young lady in Africa has begun creating "hair" from that fiber – making it more sustainable to envy long hair-types – her theory was that the synthetic hair fiber waste was clogging up city drainage systems – this is her answer to continuing the commercial hair industry & the growth of it – (I wish we loved our "whole" selves) and learn to cherish what God Blessed us with….🙏🏽 here's to a Great week – ty both
You & Bhevs should look into weaving and spinning fibers into yarn and thread. Easy has amazing stuff for that. From manual to electrical. Try looking up #Spindles like in 🧚♂️ fairy tales

Fishing line
Couldn't find Living with Bells; is it on YouTube or a blog online?
Thanks y'all!! The natives would use fish as fertilizer. Just bury it by the plant.
They use that very plant as an organic and sustainable way to make silk instead of using silk worms. It's a new fashion trend

Put rain gutters on your greenhouse
Hi guys a new sub here happy to see you guys growing fruits and vegetables. Are you guys in the South?
Be creative with the fibre, think guys 🤔
Those bananas resembles the plantain in that banana family.
You can use burnt ashes on your banana toots for the fertilizer. Caribbean girl here we got all the knowledge of growing everything.
Banana roots ashes for nutrients.
It's good that high tunnel protects well from frost…. 💚🌱

It's like a manzano. But manzanos are ripe when the peel is dark.
Hi Grow, the Natural world responded to your request. Proof that everything communicates with one another! So happy the Rains came. Give thanks! 😊❤️🙏🏽
We had a light show in the sky last night here in Arkansas, one State away from you. It lasted for hours. Looks like it came to visit Y'all as well.

I finally bought a fig tree. It's an Italian honey fig…

I wonder could you make a tube system that uses rain run off as a sprinkler system for the pots there?
