Soaring hawks scare local birds. Coopers hawks love to fly over local cornfields. This species hangs out in large groups, often sharing food.

Admire their style but beware for your local birds. Attracting birds with feeders can attract predator birds. Avoid confrontations by feeding under a tree or patio. Hiding from above can block a hawks view. Eliminate sturdy perches; twiggy branches leaning on the fence, laundry twine strung across the yard. Be creative but gentle in deterring predators. All animals deserve compassion.

I personally prefer no one hunts in my garden habitat but that is not reality. Help where you can, accept what the natural world offers for we are just a small part. πŸ™ πŸŒŽπŸ§‘πŸ’ž
