My thoughts on the world events and how atrocious our behavior can be when we don’t get our way. We are preparing for our first freeze that’s coming in a day or two and getting our high tunnels ready to sustain us through the winter
I agree 💯!! I worked the polls all day on Tuesday. At the end of the day I was glad to see our precinct majority was for “R” for Governor. Our state would have fallen the way of California otherwise. But my heart and spirit sense movement other than conservative values, in this state and it’s gaining a foothold. Prayer-trust in the Lord-keep preparing and don’t stop!!! Isn't it sad??? The coat of civility among many U.S. citizens is unraveling for sure. It is my observation the public media now plays a huge role in promoting this trend. Was just emailing another friend how difficult it is nowadays to "pray for our enemies". Love you Jill! 💕🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I live in Southern California, yet again major disappointment. I know it’s hard to believe, but there are large pockets of conservatives here. Northern California is primarily blue. Newsom, Aunt Nancy and the list goes on and on for political inbreeding. I see often on prepping channels that people should just move. At our age it’s not that simple. We have amazing healthcare available, for my husband that’s a major deciding factor. On of my daughter’s did move to Florida, she’s a nurse, and says the healthcare is minimal. Waits for appointments, with her hospital insurance, are extremely far out. We love our home, our garden, friends and family. Sorry this is so long winded, but the entire state is not a cesspool. If they encroach into our world, yes we would have to go, but this sure is not the state we moved to 40 years ago.
My Daddy use to say "Keep on keeping on" , especially after he had his first heart attack . When I was struggling I would call my Daddy and he would ask so what is the plan and I would say to Keel on keeping on . I may not be thrilled with some or most of our representatives both on state and national level, but at least I vote so that maybe that one vote that changes the course of history could be mine . Stay safe and warm through the freeze . We will have freezing temps at night for about a week and over the course of the next two weeks they predict low temps in the 30's . Have I ever told you I don't like winter ? LOL

I have never gotten too worked up over the results of elections. This is a temporary existence and not my true home. My true home is in Heaven with our Savior. It does sadden me though to see how far our country has fallen in allowing the taking of pre-born living humans. While I am here on this earth, I will do my best to live a Godly and prayerful life and treat others with respect even though I do not agree with their values. I have a flawed tendency to be judgmental of others when they don't align with me, but I pray daily for God to remind me that it is HIS job to do the judging, not mine. Or as my Dad always says: "Its above my pay grade." (Retired military man of many years).
So true. Let it go and focus on the Lord. I spend a whole lot more time in the garden…thinking, praying and enjoying all that God has given us to work with when elections DON'T go my way, lol. That's a good thing.
What we know as the golden rule replaced the 10 commandments.. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It is true agape love for your fellow man.. others is everyone and anyone. My Pastor reminded us that the person we got mad at in traffic and may have said unkind things or made inappropriate gestures to is also a child of God. How do we think God feels about us treating one of His children ( a brother or sister in Christ?) That way. After that I quit worrying in traffic, drove in a more relaxed state and slightly below the speed limit. Driving has become almost stress free. I'm not 100% there.. but getting close and I talk with God more.. usually an apology for bad behavior… but often during those talks, it's about plans or what needs to be done. Or things that I need done, but are way behind schedule.. I just need to remember to lay them on Him and ask for help in knowing what to do..He knows all my future and can steer me from wrong choices..
