Most of my garden, I can’t use mulch because it rains way too frequently here and we’re talking all day/night rain daily. So I need the water to run through but I added some coconut cord as a mulch to a few of my containers that have full sun for the entire day and it helped keep them alive while my beans died from the intense sun. So thank goodness. But for most of my plants, mulching would cause root rot for us.
