  1. PAS – You are a treasure and gift to all. THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge, esthetics, and sense of wonder for beauty. The freedom of the YouTube format suits you perfectly. This channel is bright and joyful. You are a natural teacher. No matter how many years I garden, I always follow your shows with anticipation. God Bless.

  2. Thank you for putting this out, it gives those of us who are nurses a lovely respite from current events. Such beauty and great ideas.

  3. "There are blessings in being close to the soil, in raising your own food even if it is only a garden in your yard and a fruit tree of two. Those families will be fortunate who, in the last days, have an adequate supply of food because of their foresight and the ability to produce their own."(ETB)
A great quote but I do not think it applies to my balcony garden. Oh well, I will hope for better.
    Cheers

  4. Your giant logo at the beginning covered up those beautiful gardens you designed!! We wanted to see them!

  5. Okra is usually the easiest to grow in my garden. Unfortunately for some reason this year it hasn't done well at all. I'm so disappointed.

  6. enjoyed your video Allen. I really hope everything Is going well with you I love your okra looks really yummy. I grow okra In my garden every season who knows I might even pickle It this year. your spring garden with all your greens looked great and the flowers were very pretty I planted a few different perennials In my garden this year one of them was salvia I love the color.well take care talk to ya later

  7. Love Love Love flower gardening but I am an amateur. I have a weed situation. What are your thoughts on cardboard under mulch to control weeds? I really don't want to create a monster.

  8. I got engaged at Churchill Downs next to the flowers and statue of Aristides. 18 years and counting, and I still remember the beautiful flowers around us that day.

  9. Allen, I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful Christmas tree. You most definitely knocked it out of the park. Bravo!

  10. I wonder what Allen Smith does with all those beautiful flowers when the arrangements need to be changed. Putting them in silicone beads would dry them out but probably a better process exists in making aromatic potpourri.

  11. I’ve watched your garden tips for years & have really enjoyed your YouTube channel. Thank you and your team for your time and effort. The education is invaluable.
Loved that visit to Churchill downs. I’m an avid race fan. ♥️🏇🏼
I live in rural, central Idaho & I’m working to turn around a neglected property that sat for 10 years. It’s a tough zone and a short growing season. For 2 years I’ve been clearing weeds, turning my clay dirt with soil & peatmoss- planting, observing, replanting & learning. My perennials are finally taking hold and I’ve got bee boxes in my field. My question for you is- what would you recommend as a blending- or bridging combination of plants that can merge my watered & more cultivated plants close to the house, with the natural sage and brush that grow in the desert (& my yard) naturally? I’d like my yard to merge well with the desert landscape & not look like an island or isolated pocket of growth. If you have tips or suggestions for plants that might work both in a yard scape & desert scape- I would appreciate the guidance. Thank you.

  12. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Is there any way to rid palmetto bushes other than a backhoe? I keep cutting and cutting and they are very difficult to dig out. Help
