When we first moved into our new home, we felt that the backyard area was a space that has a lot of potentials. We spent many months building our wooden raised garden beds and got to see our vegetables grow from seed to harvest.
It is no surprise that taking care of plants will require time but being present has brought me much-needed ease and grounding during times of changes and transitions in my life. No one will closely observe and examine each sprout, seedling, and flower bud in the garden as much as the gardener. The amount of time spent in the garden is a reminder to be in the present moment and to take note of the growth that is happening right before us.
Summer flew by quickly and everything got so busy that I didn’t get to share more of the backyard process and transformation. It is bittersweet to see many months of effort reduced to a 7-minute video. I hope you enjoy it and maybe I’ll use more of the footage in an extended video in the future!
Sincerely,
Huong

It was so lovely watching this corner of your home grow. Thanks for sharing!
The summer months flew by and we got busy with our personal life. Looking back on these clips helped me reflect on how much we've worked on our backyard vegetable garden. All of the tomato plants will be replaced with fall/winter vegetables now. Let me know what's something new that you're growing in the garden. š
Wow!! So much progress and look at that harvest! I feel so inspired to design my own space soon too! I didn't realize that it would be important to keep in mind how much sun I'd get in a day for the garden process. Good to keep in mind, thank you for sharing! Excited to see your next plans for the backyard space
hello, what a wonderful garden, very productive, congratulationsšš
Such a wonderful journey with the garden ššš Looking forward to see your fall and winter vegetables hehe
Amazing compilation! So cool to see how your backyard was like before, when it was a blank slate, when planter boxes were build, when soil was added, when plants were put in, the drip irrigation system, & where it is today! I agree with you that the small efforts after work add up & make a huge difference in addition to the work done on the weekends. Great reminder that the small things really do add up & can lead to more progress. It was amazing seeing the progress of your garden. Looking forward to more!
