Hey ya’ll, I’m Jess from Roots & Refuge Farm

There was a time that all I wanted in the world was a little farm where I could raise my family and grow our food. Now, that is exactly what exists outside my door.     In our area the tree/shrub orders aren't through the extension office. They are through the conservation districts.

    Miss jes Mr Jeremiah if you have any openings for this coming class that you're having this month in November could y'all let me know I tried to go the abundance plus thing and I don't know what it is but I can't manage to get all the stuff straight with the the different websites you know cuz you have your own page now and I'm actually a member of that but I have no idea how to use it but if you could just let me know and maybe if you do have some openings could you let me know and actually tell me how to sign up for it because I would love to come with my 73-year-old mom so if you've got an opening I would really appreciate it God bless and thank you and thank you for sharing your journey and your time

    The legacy of a tree.
    The animals live in cycles, the garden needs a gardener, the fence posts and chicken coops eventually rot and fall – but the trees tend themselves once established.

    Years from now one of your kids (or one of their kids) might be the farmer walking at 6am and while the place might look different – grandma’s fruit trees will stand in the fog of morning planning their pies.

    And if none of the kids stay (because it isn’t their job to) and the land belongs to a strange farmer who also walks at 6am – the trees will still stand and wave.

    If it is your grandkids though, they will have the trees and this video.

    What a strange and beautiful world.

    Extension offices are a part of your state’s land grant university. I would recommend everyone use them as your first resource then branch out from there.

    Jess I had a party poodle for 16 years and I started grooming her as a puppy so she would be use to it when I took her to a professional groomer. They are so smart, they learn everything quickly, the good and the bad. My girl Mandy was the best, she was sweet and smart and was my favorite of my long life. For years it was just she and I. I lost her several years ago at age 16 and I miss her so much.

    Early mornings are the best time of day! My mom used to tell me when I was about 3 years old I used to them(mom and dad) to ask if they wanted to watch the sun come up with me.
