  1. You should ask Santa to leave a tree and some gardening tools for the kids on the grass. How fun would that be for them to find on Christmas morning?

  2. Hey, just a thought: I don't think Benjamin is quite old enough yet, as he recommends starting at around 8, but the YouTuber Mark Rober has a online course you can purchase that walks you through engineering principles for problem solving. And it's designed such that the whole family can participate if they want to. He may not be interested, but since he has that childlike curiosity, may be a good opportunity to find a solution to the "grass mowing," should the grass grow. Just a thought to consider maybe 🙂 love the content!

  3. My dad did something very similar to that outside, filled it with heavy duty plastic, filled it with water, and we had our own ice skating rink.
It ended up being the neighborhood play ground.
Making of many happy childhood memories! ❤😊

  4. I would love to know more about caring for an olive plant. I've had a small one since summer and it's struggling.

  5. Only you Laura would think of building the kid's a little area of grass to play on during the winter and maybe a little pool. In the green house. Does your brain EVER shutdown? How much you want to bet, that the grass will turn out beautiful like all the other grass that Aaron has sewed? Benjamin buddy, I'm glad you got a new Christmas tree. I'm sure you and mom will make it look beautiful.

  6. How incredibly fun! What a great childhood you're giving your kiddos.

It might be fun for the kids to bring a chicken in down the line and watch it poke around in the grass.

  7. LOL! Loved Benjamin's face palm! That was great. He can camp outside in the winter, how fun.

  8. Thumbnail really got me expecting you guys to lay down sod 😆 this is Such a fun thing for the kids, a great way to battle some of those winter blues..i can imagine a small kiddy slide going into the grass 💚

  9. I just have to laugh! All that lawn Aaron planted and you need “ inside” grass now to fertilize and mow? 😅

  10. Love how the grass is edited in on the thumbnail 👌 😁
What fun, you could get them a mini put set or something like that…lawn bowling?… 🎳

  11. How does your drill go so smoothly into the wood? Which one is it? Is it a hammer drill? I struggle to drive anything into a wood block because there is so much resistance! I have a Dewalt brushless compact cordless drill which is a 20V. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

  12. What a Happy Family! Enjoy your videos. Gives me such inspiration! Have fun Benjamin and Samantha!! 🪴🏖

  13. Since you’re in the greenhouse I was wondering about the pear tree behind it. Did it produce pears this season? Seems it was loaded the season before.

  14. Off topic but some of us are having problems submitting photos of our winter decor.😢 dont have a google account so??

  15. What a cool idea for the kids❣️ it looks so good already. Benjamin was so smart at HD knowing the one tree was too big for his room, and the one that was perfect, you had the money for 😂😂😂 so cute! Made my day. Great job Laura & Aaron.

  16. What a fun project!!! A little kiddy pool turned into a sandbox would be great also – it would need a screen cover to keep out the cats. I can see squirt guns, mud pies, truck tracks, car races, blocks built into garages. O boy, they are going to love it.

  17. Brilliant idea, the kids will be loving that when the grounds covered in snow or is all mushy from rain/melted snow. Got to say though a little.bit disappointed not to see a fully grown shot that the thumbnail would suggest there was going to be, seems out of GA character 😔

  18. Rofl, you need a reel mower. If you lived closer I'd just give you mine, I used to live on a smaller lot, but had to switch when we moved and more than doubled the space.

  19. What a cute idea. AARON you’re going to be in big trouble if any grass starts to sprout up. I hope you have your kneepads ready to start picking lol

  20. I'm glad I'm not the only person who goes to Home Depot for one thing and comes out with several. 😀

  21. The reaction Benjamin gave when Aaron asked him about using the plant as a Christmas tree-priceless! And how clever of Benjamin to ask about mowing the grass! It’s going to be so much fun during the winter months for some summer fun!

  22. 50 at night is fine for tomatoes That is when we plant tomatoes in Southern California I watch
    For
    Night temps to stay 50
Or Above and that is when I plant tomato starts outside

  23. If the grass isn't a hit, next year you could turn that into a giant raised bed for certain veggies through the winter.

  24. What a fun idea for using the greenhouse space! 🌱 It will be such a neat oasis from the winter doldrums. And – in the spring you will have some nice sod to patch your paths if need be. You guys are always keeping things new and exciting with your great ideas and willingness to experiment. Your little shopping spree and Benjamin choosing a tree made my heart happy. Thank you both for sharing your family with us all each day.
