  1. I was inspired by your video on canning pears. I have several pear trees and I had a very bountiful harvest this year.
My mother made a desert she called pear crumble and it has ginger powder in the crumble . I have never made pear pie filling (have lots of apple pie filling)so this year I made pear pie filling but added ginger instead of cinnamon. It tastes very yummy. We're having pear pie for Thanksgiving.
Thank you for all your wonderful inspiration.

  2. I'm so impressed with all the knowledge you share with all of us on pregnancy health, food preservation, gardening and cooking, candle making, lard rendering, tallow rendering, ans so much more, all the old timey ways! You are a blessing to all us subscribers!! Prayers for you, new baby and family!!!!

  3. Thank you for sharing, Jessica. I love how productive you are. Time is a gift from God. May we use it to honor him. There really isn't any excuse to get things done around the home. Just complete one task at a time. Blessings in Christ from Pennsylvania

  4. Me and my kids step mom was just talking about the apples being half eaten and stollen as well. 😆 We have 4 Littles between us and we thought it was just our houses that it was happening turns out we have apple theifs no mater where the children are.

  5. I am so impressed with the amount of food you have grown and preserved for your family! Praying for a good finish to your pregnancy and a healthy, easy birth!

  6. You’ve done a wonderful job preserving all of the food that you’ve grown!

I’m glad you mentioned planting garlic because I still need to get mine planted.

I had trouble with my garlic that I planted in a taller raised bed last Autumn freezing this past winter. It killed the entire crop.

I replanted in the late Spring and then the drought killed that planting.

I’m going back to planting it in a shorter raised bed where I’ve successfully grown it previously.

  7. 💖You beautiful, beautiful mama. So much love and preparation. None of your children will lack anything while you recover and get acclimated to a new baby. Anyways, I hope you feel good for the January/Feb. food challenge. Still, I can't wait for the new baby introduction video. Much love, and many, many *hugs*.

  8. Do you make freezer meals. I cannot remember seeing you doing them. Chelsea’s pantry is amazing!

  9. Second comment. My birthday is the middle of December. I’d love to have another birthday twin. My sons is the 3rd. I forgot to mention how wonderful your pantry is. Take care. Hope your kids get down the things you need above your cupboards.

  10. Looking great! You have been busy! Good work. I am in zone 3b the same as Chelsea and I planted garlic last fall in my wooden raised beds – I did not mulch but they were covered in snow all winter for insulation. I harvested a great crop this fall. Not sure on variety though. I am trialing 5 varieties this year planted in ground…approx 160 cloves planted. Good job on the video.

  11. Jessica.. I was thinking when you said dairy free we were given recently non dairy ice cream Ben and Jerry's they used sunflower seeds. I didn't get to try it husband ate it all lol but he said it was delicious. It was some kind of salted caramel. Anna In Ohio

  12. Hey Jessica…….you and Chelsea are both amazing women and I so enjoy both your channels. Your pantry looks great. I want to try making apple butter soon. I made the pear sauce and it was so good. Cheers 🇨🇦💕

  13. Great pantry and ready to feed your family. A lot of work but so blessed to have it especially with the cost of food in grocery stores. Thank you for sharing and God's blessings

  14. I have a question. Why freeze dry the squash instead of cooking with a meal throughout the rest of fall and winter? Do you already have lots of other winter squash set aside for that? Just curious. Thanks.
