Hello! My name is Bethany and I grow things in my rooftop container garden in Chicago, zone 6a. I am by no means an expert, just someone who enjoys sharing my garden journey.

In today’s video, I’m pulling out the strawflowers from one of my raised beds and replacing it with plants for fall.

  1. Just curious as to why you didnโ€™t put the petunias in the composer? They probably would break down faster than woody stems? ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ™ƒ

  2. I love the celosia –I've never seen a tall variety like that in my garden center! The coneflower is a gorgeous color –are you going to plant it somewhere more permanent at the end of the fall?

  3. Beautiful and I love the colors. Your Gomphrena is amazing. Can I ask what variety you are growing and where you source it? I love to watch your gardening adventures before bed. Love it and thanks for sharing your beautiful rooftop garden with us.

  4. Looking forward to seeing how many pollinators you attract, especially monarchs! They all love echinacea. I'm getting a "wildlife" camera hopefully next year.
