Hi Rachel š. I've been looking forward to watching your video and I enjoyed it very much, your garden is so pretty and there is so much to see. Can you buy dahlias on the Golf Coast ? I'm crazy about them and mine are just starting to bloom. I could just see some dinner plate whites dotted about your back garden š you may have seen that our weather conditions have not improved šØ. My daughter is in Martinique at the moment and has been sending me videos of the rain š. Pure joy to see and hear that. Have a great day and many thanks š
Hey Rachel. I have the night blooming jasmine in my garden, bayou blue, louisiana, southwest of new orleans, zone 9a. At night it is intoxicating. I brought a branch into the house one evening and had to put it outside, it was so strong, lol. It will die back in the winter but it will come back and also baby plants will come along. You can also cut back about a half after blooming if you like, for another round of blooms before winter. Love your garden!
I identified my bees – black winged bumblebees and happy to have them but they are a little smaller than those here previously which have never come back so I'm happy to know I have these. I think they live single-ly instead of hives so I'm happy to have 4-5 every day visiting. No honey bees! I noticed the first black swallowtail today. I was so thankful to not have the tomato horn worm pests UNTIL this morning when I found the biggest one I've ever seen having eaten the top of one of my slicer tomato plants and was chowing down on the only really large still green slicer I have this year. I got him (long as my index finger and fat as my thumb) and took him to my pet quail. She took a tiny peck and then went after her normal feed. Oh well, I collected him up and stuck him in my garbage can. Now I know to keep looking for more. Is your browellia a taller version or is my pink one just stunted? Mine are almost 15 years old, in shade, never fertilized, watered, or even looked at. I just moved them closer to my garden and they are still growing but I just expected them to be small, evergreen leaved plants that bloomed every so often. Yours are tall, many bunched plants and I'm hoping mine will get like that, too. Enjoyed the walk today but it scares me to see you on your roof! DO NOT FALL!
Everything looks so beautiful! I've had bad luck with the bobo as well. I ended digging mine up and putting them in pots which helped. There are better panicle varieties out there for sure! Thanks for sharing your garden š
Pleasant walking with you in your garden. It is so neat and tidy, and all the colors go so well together, but aren't 'matchy matchy', so everything is showcased to perfection. Add the butterflies and tropical weather, and it looks like heaven to me! You made me laugh when you said you moved all the orange things to the front, and then went to the zinnia that you couldn't figure out why it went from peach to pink. Made me think that it wanted to stay in the backyard! Thanks for sharing! Peace & Prayers.
So gorgeous! You are cracking me up climbing on the roof! How fun to see a birdās eye view. Loved those swallowtails! Thanks for another wonderful tour!ā¤ļø
You're garden is goals! I love how much you have in containers, too. I'm in zone 9a, on the Texas/Louisiana border. We're plotting and planning where to put vegetables and where to put flowers. You've inspired me.
Hi Rachel. I love Coral Nymth Salvia too. I garden in Ga in zone 7b/8. I bought some seeds a few years ago and grew them. They were slow to get going, but by the early fall they were large (like coleus gets). They self seed very easily. I just let them start out wherever they land and when the plants get about 2 inches tall, I move them to where I want more of them.
It really does not matter how far we are from each otherā¦ā¦ā¦we are always connected through our creationsā¦ā¦.I am here to stay beside you, my dear friendā¦ā¦.all the best for your upcoming venturesā¦ā¦….šš
Hi Rachel! Thanks for sharing your great experiences. What a small costume room the chrysalis is! Its thin wall is almost membranous. I wonder if any super magician can mimic such miracle that butterflies do so perfectly. Butterflies don't have their own beds, no passport, no insurance, they just travel without any luggage. They do not monopolize flowers and do not suck nectar until they wither. They live so simple but look beautiful and graceful. While I, as a human, love freedom flying around which is mostly via the Internet. Again, thanks for sharing! Yui
My what lovely plants you have! I love all the cobalt blue pots; thatās a color I enjoy using in my garden, too. I have a tiny Bobo that I got via mail order. It was about 6ā tall when I got it and now it is about 20ā and has blooms on every stem. I have it in full sun and it doesnāt flop one bit. Iām in zone 6b, Lexington, KY. Is yours getting enough sun? Thanks for sharing your pretty plants! š
After watching your videos I have decided to start a pollinator garden in the spring. I live in Rosinton, Al which is close to you I think. I have heard that there is a milkweed that is bad for monarchs so I want to avoid planting it . Can you comment. I do plan on going to Corner Copia when Iām ready to plant. I have to confess I was one of those people who use to grab a pesticide without thinking how it would harm the environment. You have helped to change my attitude completely. Looking forward to all your videos, your such a wonderful encouragement to all novice gardeners.
Your new hat will really protect you from the sun š We had one day of rain. Better than nothing. You can just trim your lavender back. Mine came back very nicely and looks very bushy now. Always amazed by your butterflies š¦ š¤

Just beautiful! What is the name of the Blue Salvia ?
Your blue pots are so pretty, where do you find so many of them?
Your garden is beautiful! The black and blue salvia has been very aggressive in my garden. Iāve had to use a small pick-axe to get it out.
Your garden is amazing.Thank you for sharing great video. Wish you all the best
Gorgeous garden! Should be a gold medal!
