From our Editor Thad Orr: One of my favorite articles in the upcoming Summer 2017 issue is on hydrangeas. From the stately Hydrangea arborescens ‘Annabelle’ (shown in this image) to off-beat varieties such as mountain hydrangeas and climbing hydrangeas there are so many to fall in love with.
Hydrangeas are wonderful for gardeners because the blooms last a long time and many of their flowers change color throughout the season which as color and drama to the garden. Plus, hydrangeas work in containers, floral arrangements, and as dried flowers. What’s not to love?
