Love love love showing you all the deals that are going on because I love to hear that you’re saving money. These meats are prime for canning and for the holidays so I don’t miss out! Super grocery deals to be had on these hauls!
We love Brookshire's we have two that we go to one in Greenville and one in Farmersville Texas we're in the middle and you're right about that meat deal I can't get any more beef in my freezer but that's not stopping me everybody get out there to Brookshire's haven't been to Albertsons there's not one an hour area but I know Albertsons it's good I've shopped there before thank you
Jill, you sure did good shopping today… First time I had Stove Top stuffing My Ladyfriend made it for Thanksgiving, it was so good, nothing quite like it.
Great job on that meat! I,m going fishing. We found an untapped crappie hole. Big ones in it too. You know they had eggs in them. Shouldn,t have eggs in them this time of year. Maybe they think its spring. Anyway, the bite is hot! Love you all. Stock it in before this truck diesel thing. No diesel…no gas. Guess what brings gas in. Diesel trucks thats what. We,re getting ready to be stuck. Love from Alabama
Hey Jill thanks for showing us! Brookshire is a 45 min drive from us and we will go now and then. Our three freezers are packed full and Rochelle has cut me off from any more shopping, LOL Plus hunting season is close and we need room for all that meat. Tell Greg we said hi, God Bless. Mike
What’s with that fog? I’m in the far corner north east of Lake Erie in Ohio and it’s even foggy down in North Carolina by the beach the whole country is foggy for the last couple of days what are they trying to hide in the sky 😳
Great Deals! Kroger in my area (20 miles away) is not having any of the buy 1 get 1. That said, if you don't have a Brookshire's or Albertson's, HEB or at least mine is having a somewhat good deal on chuck roast $2.97 # which is good for me cause I refuse to pay more than that and they have bone less skin less chicken breasts $2.49 # which is a little high for me but is pretty much the going rate. Always out looking for good food deals with prices what they are. Happy shoping y'all.
Good haul, again. None of those stores around here. No sales like that either. I just paid 30 bucks for a small turkey. I was very hesitant on buying it. If they run out like we are hearing, then I have one. If there are enough, then I got FOMO'd 😆
Jill, we live here in northwest Missouri but have family in Houston. Whenever we visit Texas we bring coolers with us to go grocery shopping. We find prices are so much cheaper especially on meat. There are both HEB and Kroger close to our family. Just a month ago we came home from Houston with groceries to put in our freezers, using the dry ice the stores have available.
I found out today that Best Foods mayonnaise is bio engineered. It's on the label below the ingredients list. Bio engineered means GMO. I'm going to start checking labels more carefully. Hey, I got a great recipe for a no bake cheesecake yesterday. It's so easy. Buy a readymade graham cracker crust. In a bowl combine two pkgs. cream cheese, 2/3 cup sugar, juice of one fresh lemon, and 1 cup of whipped cream (or heaving whipping cream if preferred). Mix all ing. with hand mixer and place in pie shell. Refrigerate. I love it. It couldn't be easier. Top it with canned cherries if you like, or any other fruit you prefer. Were due for snow today. I brought in all my green tomatoes. Looks like were having fried green tomatoes. I batter them with a tempura batter. (Corn starch) One of my favs.
I am just so bummed. I went to look at the Willow Springs and Azle Brookshires and they're not showing up when I put in my zip code or look at the map on their website. I wanted some of those roasts. Oh well, my Albertsons is just a mile away on Clifford. I hope the roasts will come to Albertsons soon. I was trying to stock up before the diesel runs out.
Hi Jill! What a great haul! I sure wish we had those stores around us. Everything just keeps going up, up, and up. We are working really hard on reducing our grocery bills. It’s not easy. My Dad is expensive with his “requirements” but we do want to keep him happy, especially going into the long winter. Hope you all are staying healthy!

Its grey and cloudy here but no fog like you have their.
The stuffing is so easy for thanksgiving if you use some turkey drippings.

When I got my Brookshires flyer yesterday and saw the pork roasts on buy one get one I immediately thought of your pork roast recipe!

Hey y’all, Aldi has whole turkeys this week for 1.07 per pound! I intend to buy two. One to can and one to save for Thanksgiving!
