We finally got melons this season, thanks mostly to our unfinished compost garden.
You were our inspiration for growing in unfinished compost! We have grown some of the biggest, hardy and productive plants using this method.
Thanks for sharing.
We have learned so much from you, you can't talk to much, lol
I was wondering if you ever tried planting your seeds in one of your totes and putting a lid on the tote until the seeds germinated?
The Goldfinches around here LOVE the Coneflower – Echinacea – Purple Pow Wow flower seeds. Plant some of them next year for your finches.
You are so right about pacing yourself. I have to remember that I'm not 18 anymore, and because of osteoporosis I have to go slower so I don't trip and fall. I would definitely break some bones if I did fall. But like you said, your garden is never done so take it easy and enjoy the garden. Thanks for sharing your garden with us.π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦
Leaving the horn worms for the birds β¦ youβre an angel always sharing your garden with wildlife
Question about how you use your compost tea! Do you just water normally and then add a few scoops of tea? You don't saturate a whole tote, right?
I love your long videos
Love your garden tours. It inspires me to try growing vegetables that might be not suitable here. It grows when it grows. If not, thatβs okay. (Iβm such a fan π)
I love your simplified gardening. Your walk throughs are always interesting to see everything growing.π
Robbie, I made your tea, however it was after a couple weeks, full of white maggots Why?
LOLβ¦I opened one of my compost in place containers and there are tomatoes that sprouted and no light. FUNNY!
Hi Robbie. Do you consider the water/runoff that you capture and reuse from your totes to be compost tea? Do you think it has a similar nutritional content to the compost tea that you make in your 5 gallon buckets? Thanks. Also thanks to you I put up 2 hummingbird bird feeders. Finally got 4 visitors 2 weeks ago that have stuck around. 1 is a jerk that keeps chasing the others off though.
Hi Robbie, where do you find the black nursery pots without holes? I can only find them with holes already added.
Love the garden tours! Are the zinnias in Southern California perennial? Do they bloom in the winter? Thank you!
Try quesadillas with the yellow squash flowers! They are so good π
OMG! I just love watching you and your videos. I've learned so much from you. I watch you all day. You are so enthusiastic and inspirational I just love you. I love watching kitty too. I have two little terriers too named Bo Peep and Peanut Butter they are my babies. Thank you Robbie and Gary for sharing so much with us. Have a blessed day.ππ»πΎπΎππππ¦ππ₯ππ¦π’πππ¦π¦ππππ πππ₯π₯ love you guys!!
Maybe plant strawberries in a tall laundry basket instead?
Robbie, you never did a video on those tomato stake corners. Will you do one please??
Robbie, wondering your thoughts on compsting meat and bones such as chicken. Thanks.
Are your papaya from fruit you ate?
Robbie⦠when do I plant my walking onion seeds ? So excited to get them walking !
H did you take a cutting from your San Maz tomato? I have one this year that had super yummy tomatoes and would like more for next year.
where did you get your seed for your tree collard?
Your garden is absolutely stunning! Would love to grow my own one too! πππ»
I loved this video with all of my heart!! Thanks a million! The end with the bird drinking out of the solar water fountain was priceless!
Luv your videos I just watched Gary's garden now yours, I like how you both have totally different garden ideas and different plants, I've done my seeds in containers with tulle and when big enough transferring to cups then to garden. I definitely have seen gardening in a new light thanks to you both π€ I'm gonna start the compost tea today I have to get my tote off the ground. I really like Gary's trellis and pool garden but I'm assuming you guys didn't say the 1 he is growing cuttings in the smaller pool has holes in it? Please describe exactly how it's done to help us following gardeners. The rabar has given me a a better idea to hold my tarp over my chicken coop run. So will be doing a rabar run for that and my garden. I did mention in another comment your strawberries will grow like mad in the mulch mine has and I'm so happy just a little dirt for roots and they literally spread runners all in the mulch I have hundreds now tons of strawberries made my garden bigger for more just gonna put plastic down to cover grass and mulch and they will spread. Thanks again for all your videos from you and Gary. I do have a question why is your broccoli so tiny? Why not big heads like in store? Your very lucky in your area you can grow citrus and pomegranates my fav and so much more I can't in pa on the east coast
If you donβt have walking onions get to store & buy green onions with the longest roots ( Asian stores donβt trim them down so much) , eat the green part & cut off the root plus 1/2 to 1β or so of the white part & plant! Keep cutting & green onions continue to grow- even in a stall flower pot you can grow a whole bunch of them & you donβt end ep with a bunch of slime in the veg bin in the fridge,
