  1. Have you planted Maypop? It's a native passion vine it produces fruit and it's a host plant for Zebrah Longwing, Gulf Fritillary, Julia's and Variegated Fritillary

  2. Really informative video and I love this series idea too! I know it’s good to get rid of the invasive plants but I totally wish I could take them off your hands 😂

  3. Really looking forward to this series! New to your channel and to FL native gardening. My goals are the same, and I'm on the hunt for videos that discuss mowable, moderate traffic-hardy ground covers (convinced my spouse to replace the grassy lawn in the back yard at least!). I'd love to hear your thoughts on that process if you ever get the time. 🙂

  4. Glad to find this and like others, have been searching for how-to specifics. Usually what I get from related organizations is, "Oh, honey — we all make mistakes."

  5. The "invasive" Tiger Tongue plants are natural air purifiers. They do spread/propagate invasively but they are beneficial. Pot 'em to control 'em and reap the fresher-air fruits.

  6. This is exactly what I want to do! We just moved here from Oregon, so I am ready to Florida garden! Let’s do it.

  7. I love you channel. I live in south west of Florida. Which beautyberry is best for my area?
    Thank you for educating us.

  8. I watched the first 23 seconds and I can relate! I’m looking around everywhere trying to get ideas on how a native landscape will look 😂. I’m excited to see the series!

  9. I actually work at wilcox nursery in largo and it's honestly so nice to see people planting more natives,if you ever stop in again soon my name is Ryan.

  10. Snake plants are nice but just like periwinkles if you plant them outside a planter they will take over.

  11. Snake plant is great in pots, they grow wild otherwise, and the nature center said they are not good for native turtles, that can’t navigate through them. Love your choices. I have hibiscus that want to turn into trees! They make lovely flowers too

  12. Ok, my new goal will be what you said the UK guy suggested. Plant a lot and remove some later if it’s too much. I subbed so I can watch this series. Looking forward to it. I’m also trying my best to go native and edible. Quite honestly, I have edibles that are not native, but my end goal is to plant things that are good for us and good for wildlife, with as many native FL plants as possible.
