Good choice to keep it simple for first Autopots grow. Having helped newbies for years, most people overcomplicate it. You should also consider the fabric pots variants. Shorter, and allow more air into root zone without adjusting media. Getting the media and pot right for optimum air is the secret to autopots.
Can you please show us how to keep a plant small without triggering it into flower? The height restrictions is really for a lot of us. Thanks Jeremy!
I grew Dutch passion glueberry og autos in my auto-potsxl and I had one plant grow 6.5 foot tall. And 12 of them were perfect and 3 were small. All started right in the pot. Ruderallis is crazy weird. And I grew on 18 the entire time.
What could be a substitute for mustard seed meal? Can you just use supermarket mustard seeds that are crushed or powder form?
If you bury the stalks or they just touch from the plant that all bushed out low to the soil , would they stalks just start to grow roots? Or is having them too close to the top dress an issue?
Want to let you guys know that I really enjoy every video you've done!!! I have been struggling with a traumatic brain injury that I got in a mountain bike accident in 2006. Just about a month ago I was diagnosed with als and things have been difficult. But I have taken a lot from watching your view of gardening and life! It's helpful when I need center my thoughts. I'm only 41 and trying to make everyday better than yesterday, we have a 5 year old daughter and I am doing my best to show her we can make it through tough times! You guys are great and doing great things for the planet I love it!!!
Thanks
If your running a 9 week plant. do you start counting from the day you flip to 12/12 or from the first signs of flower?
Can I use craft blend in a 5gal with buildaflower and BuildABloom as a complete nutrients line for veg all the way through flowering???
I have a 3-3-3 mix 33% coco 33%compost and 33% perlite I use 2 cups of craft blend so is it necessary to use the coco coir mineral because I did buy it but was wondering should I use it with the craft blend or will it be and overload on nutrients???
I noticed your Rootwise Enzyme is clear. Mine is a darkalmost mollases color.
I think I agree with your earlier opinion I have better luck with short wide containers/pots and such then taller stuff I get much better fr worth faster and quicker responses with top dressings I’m going to run a foot style 800 this summer in a smart pot got the soil brewing right now for then with black leaf mold lasagnad in the middle and a ton of castings though it’s been hard to find a quality place to get it at a good price for bulk in my area most places don’t have a clue what they feed the worms and when they do it’s garbage food I use a ton of malted 2 row barley my gunnera manicata love it
I just can’t get over the cost of the autopots. Adding a pot to a drip system costs $2, adding an autopot costs something like $60. I looked up what it costs to outfit a 4×8 with 18 two gallon autopots and it was over $1k. Jesus.
ok getting a new light in the next few weeks either a Mars Hydro FC-E3000 for 350$ or a Bloom Plus 4000W for 390$ any thoughts people.
I love how connected you are to your plants, i am the same way, thank you for educating the benefits of happy healthy plants!💚
Ok, I made something like this years ago much akin to the Global Buckets system. It worked amazing when I used it but it kept cloggin up on me due to growth in the irrigation tubes. I felt like a recirculating version would work better.
I like ur videos I like a lot but I understand but I dislike the auto junk all around the pot the plant all it.
How come the dunndeal never works when I order online I've been using this discount code for several years and it's never worked?? 20% I thought it was??
Please help
And thanks for all the great content.
Feel free to add extra slack in between the cross connectors and the modules. That way when your inside your grow you can slide them around. You do not need to make the picture perfectl straight setups as seen in the diagram. Those are starter references. I like to add a loop about 3 inches in between the module and main line connectors.
Chef Autopot
So question, I am growing in 15 gal pots with cover crop, I have my young plants in 1 gal pots waiting to sex before transplanting into the 15 gal. I am about to chop and drop and add my top dress and narley barley, but I have a huge gnat infestation, I have yellow sticky paper most of the adults, but for the larva, I am about to treat with Biological Organic Larvicide – Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (BTi). So should I water this product in 1st and then chop and drop, .or water it in after the chop and drop and amendment.
Hey Jeremy. Equal distant doesn't matter that much with the autopots because it will fill all the containers equally regardless. They will fill until they are full with the gravity and the float valve. You can set them up however! I do in my grow room and have no issues. I'm super excited to see how you utilize them because I was planning on getting rid of all of them for multiple raised beds: but maybe they can have a place in my no til garden after all..
alien easyfeed owner here , will be watching and trying to improove my method
