  1. Kaye … how exciting! I didnt know the males had the two dots on lower wing. Absolutely beautiful πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

  2. Monarch butterfly – oh, Kaye, that is so last century! Their wings are made of CARBON and their flatulence is destroying the world. We are supposed to be embracing the robotic butterflies and bees that our wise leaders intend to replace the yucky natural ones with. The only bugs they want around are the ones they will be feeding us.

  3. We had a lot of monarchs up here this year. God's beautiful creatures face each day and gather His provisions. We can, too. I love you, dear friend. I am sharing this one!

  4. I had a monarch this morning on my Mexican Sunflower in Texas. I don't see them often either, however I have friends who have quite a few visit.

  5. Kaye its such a beautiful and soothing video to sit n watch

  6. We are trying to get milkweed growing in our backyard. You have a lovely place I’ll be looking in often.

  7. i saw one yesterday too! can't remember the last time i saw one in my garden. everyone please add native milkweed to your gardens!!!

  8. Just wanted to say again "Kaye you are a GREAT INSPIRATION πŸ™"THANK YOU ! AND GOD BLESS YOU !!πŸ™πŸ™

  9. Thank you for sharing your Monarch with us. So beautiful as are your flowers. Working on getting the leaves and garden pots ready for winter and was pleasantly surprised by your video so took a break too.

  10. I am oohing and aahing about your Monarch Butterflies. Wow. We've had our first frost and yes, most of what is left of my veggies are mush for the compost pile. Carrots, and Artichoke and Garlic are fine as is the grape vine with its newer leaves. You are doing fine and are happy to have the kitties playing and butterflies of different kinds in your yard. Good deal! Thanks for sharing the joy! P.S. Hooray for your Alma Mater's football season and that victory the other night! PPS. You should print a copy of your butterfly on the Aster – so pretty it should be framed on your wall.

  11. Thanks for sharing! Monarchs are beautiful and it's easy to see how they were given their name. An interesting fact about butterflies is that they have no pigments in their wings. The color comes from prismatic scales that reflect the various shades of light. The same is true of humming birds who have prismatic feathers.

  12. I'd heard hey sprayed paraquat in Mexico to kill pot plants decades ago which nearly wiped out the Monarch butterfly's. I don't think they have made a full come back yet.

  13. Loved this. Have just planted 6 milkweed plants in my back yard this past weekend. Planting asters in the spring! So sad they are now an endangered species.
