Thank you for the breakdown. I already have the covered patio, so ixney on that cost. I do not like synthetic grass, and prefer some concrete and rocks. I plan on a kitchen garden. I plan on river rocking my drain swell. I will be adding a fire pit and possibly an outdoor grill. smoker and pizza oven. My inspiration is Persian garden design, so a water feature is required (and so is a pomegranate tree.) Love 2.0 where we can be upfront, casual and personal. I learned a lot here.

Please more videos like this very good information as I hope to build my custom home someday That home at some point would make a good mid to high end rental. Despite the small space it makes the backyard looks very inviting. On the items that you upgraded; Did you cut cost in other areas of the project? For example, artificial grass.

Charity, I seen in this video that you made two big mistakes in your backyard, in regards to the concrete.
Where the walkway that leads from the side gate to your patio concrete slab, your concrete guys didn't out expansion foam between the brick wall and concrete and they didn't put the expansion foam where the concrete pathway ends and connects to the patio slab.
Why this is an issue is because attaching the concrete to these surfaces doesn't allow the concrete to expan and contract, which your concrete WILL be doing there, in LV due to the high daytime heat and cold nights temperatures. You're going to see, maybe in a year, your concrete cracking in those areas because the concrete can't move and adjust. You might want to look into fixing that otherwise you're going to start seeing your concrete ctack.
Looks good, spot lights are so under rated…. even If they just point at the fence, gives the space a nice touch.
Just a little odd they mounted the porch light so high…..that would have been ideal for a spot maybe, just me but it would have looked better lower.

You could really step this up by adding stucco to your brick wall and add some climbing wall plants to it. Would soften up the wall. That’s what I’m doing to mine. The yard looks good

Why do people have TVs out on the patio, especially in such a small back yard?. Your neighbors must love you. I would never consider a home that did not come with a fully built and covered patio instead of a lean-to addition. Not a good look. Don't over improve for the neighborhood.
