  1. I’m growing the black cherry tomatoes because of you. I had no idea they can go through winter and into spring, glad I just heard you say that! Mine are just now starting to form tomatoes. I grew 4 different types of tomato plants for fall and the black cherries are growing the best and the first to fruit.

I need to start using my leaves for mulch. I throw way too much away in the lawn recycling pickup.

  2. I appreciated the advice on the tomatoes. I have tomato plants still going strong, but they need a prune.

  3. Those Cabbage caterpillars are really something else. LOL! I pulled my 28th plump specimen off today. I check them every day on both sides of the leaves. I have always come across the articles or videos that say that they are on the outside of the leaves. Where I found them on the outside when the plant was younger, but now they are found on the inside of the leaves. I take them off and place them on another spare leaf and put it on a spot away from traffic and the lizards find a surprise in a short period of time. I have 7 individual Tomato plants this year and I an excited for them. I have even planted Beets this year along with another group of multi-colored carrots. I found out recently that each different color actually helps with different reasons for our health. Why didn't we know that sooner? LOL! Nice tender, and not so bitter collard greens!! 😊❤

  4. Wow. It’s amazing how quickly everything gets so big. It looks so pretty. I still have collards growing. The leaves are huge. I haven’t harvested them because I’ve been told they will not taste good. I still want to use them in some way. Maybe dehydrate and use it as a powder for a tiny bit in my smoothie or in a soup? Maybe just leave them huge and cook with the soup but not eat them. Bone broth? Idk. What do you think? This was my first year growing or eating them

  5. I usually use leaves if i have some from all the trees around my balcony. Most of the time i make leaf compost. Put in a trash can that you put holes in. Or i find someone that got a chip drop off. My leave usually have pest damage. Im too paranoid that I'd infect other plants.

  6. Must be a way tooo grow tomatoes in the winter!! They sell them in the shops at that time of year for a high price!!

  7. Nice harvest of greens. Thank you for sharing. I usually start a new tomato plant from some of the suckers. As always, you give so many good tips.

  8. Great information. Thanks for sharing! I’m part of a Facebook group and those ladies called me crazy for growing tomatoes right now! Glad I’m not the only one haha. I’m growing a few things that technically isn’t in season. I’m new here so I’m experimenting for myself what works and doesn’t work. Thanks again!
