  1. Hi Patara,
The next video with the gardens supply give away, did not appear.

  2. I just enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for all the information. I pray your husband is doing well. keep the faith.

  3. I will definitely get several of these with our upcoming pollinator project with our small farm! Great view Patara! Congrats and love!

  4. As a beekeeper, I should really get into this. I focus so much on my honeybees, but as a gardener, I do know, some plants don't/can't get pollinated by honeybees. All bees matter, and I don't exterminate, but I really should educate myself on this!
Dirt dobbers, bumble bees and such do so much! I should add habitats for them as well!!

  5. Good video, one thing you didn't say is that mason bees do not store honey to eat they have to pollinate or work to eat.  At your location what works best for installation? height? direction?

  6. such a wonderful idea. need to find out if we need several or do they say based on your acreage? thank you will check it out

  7. You are perfect for this. Look forward to all your reviews because I know you are not just trying to sell something. You will always give us your honest opinion, which is so rare these days.

  8. Nice review.
Apparently, for best success with MAson (and leaf cutters) bees, you want:
    – a stable house (nail it, don't use a rope)
    – if you raise your own, a place to put the cocoons (not being eaten by birds)
    – some kind of overhang roof (protect the tubes from rain)
    – not using bamboo, it's not native for these bees and too hard to crack open. If you use paper liners inside the holes, that solves that problem.
    – harvest the cocoons in fall so you can get rid or reduce pests (mites, wasps, chalkbrood diseased cocoons…), and possibly get rid of some other insects that will have used the holes as house.
