  1. Real Milk is disgusting. If I would to eat cereal it would be with vanilla almond milk. Captain crunch, baby!

  2. How about "Use a Clean Plate" like the Buffet signs? Or simply "Clean Your Plate" to stick with the meal theme.

  3. Loving the Smorgasbord show format and the top 3! Can we get some merch with the Smorgasbord logo in the store?

Very much looking forward to Bryan Drakes new segment for 3D printing! I bought a 3D printer to "upgrade" some components, but I am using it mostly for printing box inserts to organize and store the components. Printed a great one for Caverna that has made set up and tear down so much faster!

  4. City of Umbrellas. In pensacola, FL, there is a small festival that has that umbrella event. pretty cool

  5. Mike: It’s a novel idea, where you turn pages like a book…

    Chris, off screen: takes notes

  6. The discount version of Apple Jakes are nowhere near as good as the original. They are like bad tasting cardboard. Always eat the the original.

  7. 3D printing segment names: Meeple workshop. Component kitchen. Board game factory. Creator's corner.

  8. Where to find newbies for play testing: Barnes and Noble cafe area (permission/payment?) or a college student union. Your local high schools may even have gaming clubs (definitely need permission). For middle weight games, schedule special events at game cafes and game stores.

  9. To the playtesting back talk, I think every game needs 2 play throughs. I always preface to my players that the first game is a learning game.

  10. Heads-up that your contest info in the video notes is incorrect… it has the question from the previous contest.

  11. Yay, Iron Maiden is the greatest band of all times! They have actually been around since december of 1975 🙂

  12. I've eaten cereal dry for pretty much all of my life. Sometimes I used to drink milk with it, but I kept them separate. Now I'll still eat cereal occasionally but I go for Honey Bunches of Oats and similar slightly healthier options.

  13. Great episode. The playtesting discussion was quite interesting and I'm very much looking forward to Bryan's series on 3D printing. I hope his series includes some discussion of color 3D printing technology and, maybe in the future, also laser cutters for things like wooden tokens and building 3D game components built from parts created with laser cutters. (With regards to the latter, the Let's Draw with BeeJayDeL YouTube channel has an interesting video, "How I Make Wooden Pins with Glowforge & Procreate!," which hints at a lot of possibilities.)

  14. Really enjoy all of this but hope that the game show segment finds a home somewhere. One of my favorite Dice Tower segments! Keep up the good work all!

  15. I just assumed that Bryan was recording from some kind of manufacturing facility….but nope…..that’s just his house.

  16. What do you guys think of a boardgame that has tiered rules/play? For instance a light/medium/heavy ruleset or version?

  17. I was order #004! Getting the &&& shirt and a water bottle. Love the show guys! Great cereal segment, although I will say I am a definite milk drinker lol.

  18. Okay, except for boring Rice Krispies and weirdo Cookie Crisp, this was almost my cereal pantry! Number 1 is Cap'n Crunch Peanut Butter and #2 is Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The others are Crunch Berries, Apple Jacks, Cocoa Pebbles and Golden Grahams, which I like when CTC is too sweet.

BTW, lactose-intolerant but they have invented soy milk. And vanilla-flavored soy milk, which makes fantastic cereal milk! It used oat milk, which is already cereal milk!

  19. Top 3 Cereal(I eat maybe twice a year)
    1) Golden Grahams
    2) Honey Nut Cheerios
    3) Cinnamon Toast Crunch
As an adult i never add sugar or drink the milk(kinda gross)

As for Grape Nuts, throw them in the microwave for 30s and they soften like oatmeal
