Coffee Cherry 🍒
No it’s not a coffee flavored cherry
The fruit of a coffee bush is called the coffee cherry.
It consists of the skin, a little bit of flesh and the delicious coffee bean which is what we all love so much.
The fruit is edible but you won’t find them available to purchase as the bush isn’t grown for its fruit but for the well loved coffee bean inside the fruit.
If you want to taste the coffee cherry you will need to either grow a bush or several yourself or visit a coffee farm where you may be able to taste one.
Regarding the taste, it’s just a mild sweet taste and very little actual ’fruit’ or flesh but by all means try it if you get a chance.
