So will you use the Professional Grade weed barrier to protect these new boxwoods to prevent the invasion of weeds to the area? I have never used Professional Weed Barrier, the usual weed barrier is not worth the money. The crabgrass grows right through it. If I could use Professional grade, it would definitely be a help.
Are we going to get a "Day in the Life" of Paul? I think we could all use a Paul in our life. 💖
I have 12 Green Velvet boxwoods planted in my yard. I love them! It's the one plant I can always count on to survive our winters(5b Wisconsin).One word of caution…..mine do not stop growing. The 3 that I planted 7 years ago are now 4 feet tall and very beautiful. The other 9 that I planted 3 years ago are already over 2 feet tall and still growing. Good luck!

You guys are so fortunate to have soil that's diggable!! I know you say it's hard packed, and very dusty, but it's still diggable!! Our land in Eastern Ontario Canada, is part of the Canadian Shield, and it's nothing but shale, and stone, stone, stone and more stones!! Can't even dig to plant tulip bulbs without hitting stone! Planting trees and shrubs are a nightmare!! lol Your new Maple trees and boxwoods are beautiful! Good decision to choose those spots for the Maples for all of the reasons you mentioned. Sometimes it's hard to remember how big things will grow in a very few years, and spacing is key. What a sweet boy Benjamin is. Always willing to get in there and help! Making memories! 🙂 ~~M~~

Laura you are brilliant your design is so awesome. I’m loving it. As far as payment to the little dude goes maybe you could pay him in chocolate chip cookies I don’t know what the going rate is but you might give it a try. I know I can be tempted with a cupcake or cookies. He did a really good job. Won’t be long before he will need a bigger shovel. The whole property is looking like you and is really coming together.

Hey Laura, never put an end date on anything. I’m visiting the US soon and I’m knitting Christmas gifts…I keep saying – 'by the end of the week, I should have this jumper/sweater done!' My 'end of the week' has moved out to the end of the month so many times.
But…I must say – I was telling my husband about the trees being placed in your 'garden'. I wish more trees could be moved like that more over the world rather than being cut down and lost forever. I love your trees and how they have transformed your landscape 🥰👍🏼
