  1. I used the expert gardener liquid hose end sprayer and after a few days 90% of weeds were gone. Second application 3 months later probably 99.9% of weeds were gone.

  2. Did you water the days before application and then again right before you applied it? Also, did it rain within 24 hours after?

  3. You need to aerate then overseed in the early Spring ..lime….overseed,.. Then weed and feed after you establish the grass growth.Use plain fertilizer in November. Lack of Nitrogen is what is causing the Clover.Plain Fertilizer grows everything, which is why I only use it for soil purposes in November. A healthy lawn crowds out weeds. You never put down too much seed. Overseeinding has longterm effectiveness for years.

  4. Granular weed and feed is almost always a preemergent treatment. This means that it controls weeds by preventing just about all seeds from germinating. It doesn't do anything to plants after they start growing. Thus the product failed to work because it was applied incorrectly. This product should be applied in early spring every year to prevent weeds from growing up from the seeds present from last year's growth. If you want to take care of weeds after they sprout, you need to use a liquid herbicide with something like b-24d in it. That kind of broad leaf weed killer is absorbed through the leafs and kills the plant.

  5. You should really get a push spreader. They have dials on them to control the amount of product that goes down on the lawn. The bags show where the dial should be set. Too little product & it will be ineffective. Too much product & it could kill the lawn & require a ton of water to get the chemical diluted and down past the roots in the lawn. Keep working at it. Its all of a sudden you will start to see a change in the lawn. Also, the best weed preventer is grass seed. Dont use Crab Grass Preventer in the early spring or fall. Put grass seed down. A dense lawn actually crowds out the weeds. People always said that to me & I didnt believe it until I did it. My lawn made your lawn look like a golf course. I had VERY little grass, it was mostly weeds. Now its all grass & I put a lawn striper on the back of my mower to stripe it. It is actually A LOT less work than you may think for that to happen. It is just having a plan & applying either fertilizer, weed killer, or grass seed every so often. Mine is to the point where I rarely put much on it anymore. The grass became incredibly thick. Keep going. Its fun & like I said earlier, you will see a big difference with the right plan.

  6. Broadcast liquid sprayer is always better for existing weeds. I only use the granular option either as a pre-emergent or as fertilizer.

  7. The actual truth is that no weed and feed is going to be strong enough in one application to overcome the level of established weeds that you have. Your lawn is not what weed and feed was intended for. That's why the speedzone worked. Your weeds are so well established that it was going to take a liquid to fully cover their leaves and choke them out.

  8. I use this and it works for me. You will probably need to do a couple of applications and water the lawn 1st. Water again in 2 days. And never use when temps are higher then 85

  9. I have used this product for years. it works over time. One week is not enough time. It is designed to be used four times per year. I have used it four to six time in one growing season in southeastern VA. It will give you control of your yard if you are patient and disciplined to use it in regular intervals of every 60 to 90 days.

  10. orthos weed and feed spray kills weeds in one day, meaning you can start to see them dying in one day. I had a lot of weeds in my yard and I could see them start dying in one day with the temperature at 40 degrees with wind chill. I only use Expert Weed and Feed for the quick greening of my years and I use the liquid.

  11. Man , you should get push spreader for this area ….for Weed and feed products what I know that you should water first .. so the weeds are wet .. when you spread it will stick on the weeds and kills it . It's always recommended to read the label before applying anything to your lawn . Good luck

  12. I used this product early spring and it has been a month and I think it fertilized my dandelions when my lawn started to grow its covered in dandelions which has never had in past years with Scott's weed and feed.

  13. Just an observation from a resident of SC. In this video, it appears what you've referred to as dandelions was actually crabgrass. That's mainly what I see, besides the clover.

  14. Pennington is usually pretty good if you follow directions to a T!!!!! Expert Gardner(Gro Tec, Madison GA…AKA Pennington)
Usually with weed and feed you need to wet the lawn or put it down with the morning dew(5:30am).
Second buy yourself a Broadcast spreader……..Scotts edgeguard are cheap and work well.
Did you follow the back of the bag directions.
I bet it says wet the lawn before applying or just after a rain.

  15. It also says right on the bag Line 3 of Application instructions…..If grass is not Moist at time of application lightly sprinkle the grass!
Click on back of bag photo(second one down)….Once big click on it again and you can zoom in and out with plus and minus buttons.
