My husband and I were looking for a turkey at our local wallmart they only had big ones we only needed a 10lb turkey so we waited a few weeks we went to Ohio for a few days I told him let's try the wallmart here we did finally got our 10 lb turkey got back to our town our wallmart still had the big turkeys thank goodness we got one in ohio

But, one thing we noticed, fruit, always in large cans, bec that’s the point of these wholesale places, to buy some items in large quantities. Noticed about 1 season, 1 year ago, every fruit offering, every type of fruit, previously, was always in large quantities, now, they are in a large pack, but they are all little cups. A lot of little cups, but, that’s not what we want or accept, we want the large cans, which is what these wholesale places specialize in. (Lately, there’s been some kind of marketing game going on). $60 membership? That’s well worth it, Sams plus pay…$100 we believe. So, that was a good deal. We thought you were paying $100, Sams, and $100 Costco. So, good deal. ✅🏅

I'm not doing turkey, but cornish hens or oxtails, but still thats high prices too, its just myself so I'm not tripping on it, but I'm steady stocking this freezer, and pantry. The holidays are going to be tight. I still see peiple not ready, and not prepped or prepared, Lord help them, stubborness will not help nobody, but it will get in the way of surviving. turkeys, I paid 112.00 for 1 at Costco last year.
I got the large bag of dried cranberries. My turkey was $30 for 20 pounds. But I bought it over a week ago and I canned the whole thing. I also canned a whole pumpkin and sweet potatoes and russet potatoes.
One Cosco in my area will be getting their turkeys November 16th. That's later than normal but then normal changed.
No way! Those turkeys are already cooked. They can't be canned decently and I know from experience freezing them wrecks them.
I caught a roast on sale for 15.00 and will cut it up into stew beef cube and a small roast for me.

Lucky for me and my family we do not care whether we have turkey on the holidays, or any other day of the year. If I serve a whole anything, it'll be a roast, or a whole chicken roasted. However, I will probably be preparing homemade lasagna, with homemade garlic bread, and a salad. Love my Italian food y'all!!! Grateful for whatever I decide to make!!! Because that'll mean we had something on our table. Happy holidays to everyone!
Costco pays employees more than Walmart, but I'm thinking we are paying those wages between the 60 membership fee & mostly higher prices than Walmart

I saw a 20lb turkey at Safeway here in MD for $78.32 regular price and $68.58 on sale. I said no ma’am! And there were not many, more big turkey breast.

I went to a Git and Go after work tonight to get eggs because I was out of them and they wanted 7 dollars for a dozen. The lady asked, "have you bought these here before?" and I said, "why, are they bad?" and she said "no, but they are 7 dollars". I couldn't believe it. I told here sorry but "no" and she said she didn't blame me. Seriously. And I'm just getting chicken for Thanksgiving, and will be happy with that. I know it's getting bad, but this is rediculous. I am glad I have basically prepped up. It is just hard to keep eggs unless you have chickens.

I'm in the UK, so we don't do Thanks Giving here, and I haven't cooked a turkey for Christmas for 15 years. I just cook a whole chicken with roast potatoes and veg. Currently a chicken is £4 and bag of potatoes £1.15. Carrots 10p each. Can of peas £1. I can do the whole meal with starter and pudding for under £25 for a family of 3. I can't afford a turkey, and have no interest in cooking a huge bird, and having too many left overs. I buy what I can afford. I can't believe people pay over £50 / $50 for a turkey. Why not switch to chicken, and save a fortune?

Girl stop beating yourself up, go get you a (2) Hot Dogs and drink (One with ice other drink no Ice) $1.50x 2=$3.00 and eat one while you sit in the Gas line and fill your car up with gas, usually their prices are lower. Enjoy that other Hot dog and drink for later. That's what I do it's become actually my me time if I go at a busy time.

The last time I had to buy a turkey, I waited for the sale where if you spend a certain amount you can get the turkey for $.99lb (the last price I remember).
Thankfully for the past couple of years I've been gifted at least 2 turkeys each holiday season.
There are many other delicious things you can eat other than turkey,I know it is the tradition, but I refuse to pay that price, I truly have bought very little meat since these prices have a raised,Except for canned meats and I'm getting fed up with the canned meatnow too.I recommend not buying meat if people would have stopped buying things when the prices hiked.They would have had to lower the prices .when you don't buy it they have to reduce the prices,and attempt to sell it before it spoils.
