We’ve expanded our vertical growing space! It’s still in the works but I love the start. We’re hoping to provide plenty of space for tomatoes, planted or volunteers, to grow up. May as well make the most of the space we have!

I would love any suggestions on what to put in hanging baskets on the new installation of Maker Pipe along the plastic fence area. I’m thinking bougainvillea but I have a few baskets to fill.

🌞 My garden set up includes:
* The official Earth Box store has a lot of color combinations, so it’s worth going direct. I would suggest getting the casters, totally worth it and SO helpful. Also where you can get the automatic watering system made officially for their system. *

  1. Love all the trellises . Once things grow up and over you will have some shady areas to work in and for the pups to play . That collard is just growing wild .

  2. I am soooooo jealous of your orchids . I have had 2 and killed them both . Yours are gorgeous .

  3. Alessandra, we don’t have anything like Florida heat normally, but last year we had something called a heat dome that had our temperatures peak at 106Β°F (41Β°F) for several days. My tomatoes and squash never recovered despite getting watered through a drip system twice a day. I found out that plants in containers in the heat can dry out the central root ball. Once that happens, subsequent watering just runs around the outside and the plant basically dehydrates. I’m not sure if that happened to your plants, but it’s a reason to have the largest possible container for vegetables if you are expecting heat.

I agree with Dee, you definitely have a gift to grow orchids!
