Autumn is here and there are plenty of September garden/ allotment jobs that can be done during the month. In this video we look at vegetable garden jobs for September
Welcome to the No Dig Norfolk Gardener and our no dig/no till garden where we grow vegetables. We garden in zone 9a. Although we grow our veg from our back garden it is very much set up like allotment gardening UK – allotment life. Our passion is vegetable gardening, bigger harvests and no dig gardening. You will see how growing your own food is so easy.
We had a good harvest during August and September is looking like it will be a glut of harvests too! We take a look at jobs to do in the glasshouse and the polyhouse during this month as well as on the veg plots
If you need a little help to keep track of the jobs you could be doing in the Vegetable GardenAllotment, here’s a few handy tips to help you out in September.
If you have asked yourself the question what can I sow in September, what should I be doing on the veg plot in September or what are my allotment jobs for September, well there are still seeds to sow, seedlings to be pricked out, plants to transplant and many harvests to be had.
In this video, I share what I am doing for productive gardening, harvesting, planting, and go through some of my September garden jobs.

Your garden is still looking good and productive even after all the hot weather , hopefully there will be some rain soon, keep up the good work
Your blackberries look good. We pick ours from over the fence – don't tell the farmer who owns the land. I'm planning to increase our soft fruits for next year. Thanks for the prompt about Christmas potatoes. I keep forgetting. These jobs for the month videos really keep me on track.
Hello Barry & Mrs W. Thanks for the sowing guide for september. Nice soft fruit area by the way. Our pumpkins of the rouge vif d'etampes variety are looking great. We are trying to construct a larger brassica hoop structure at the moment. I notice you have a mega 2 loop structure. What width and type of netting do you have? I'm shopping around and it seems really pricey. Any advice on netting? Sorry to be a pain. Lovely vid though thank you.
Hi Barry. I would be interested to know what type of tomatoes you have been growing and would you recommend. They look very good. I have been growing Crimson Crush this year which have not cropped that well and Shirley which we have had a lot of but we have suffered a lot with split tomatoes.
Carrots we or rather my husband has made quite a good carrot top soup and i made a smoothie, out of the best carrot tops. My not be everyone's cup of tea but it was interesting to find this part of the carrot was edible too, mind you most went to compost.
