  1. I did that in the house during winter and they grew indoor…..the flower blossomed just in time for the first flies to polenate it outside on the porch during the day

  3. @elmrenz Yes. I scattered bird seed in my garden in March and watched as the seeds that weren't eaten grow into healthy plants of various sizes. They flowered in June. Up to 5 foot tall. In Clapham. In south London.

  4. How do you handle young sprouts about 5 inches tall with thin flimsy stem? I tied it to rest beside a straw…is it ok to do it?

    Any fertiliser needed at this stage?

  10. I stay in Britain and have planted out my small sunflower plants into my garden and they always get eaten before they can fully grow, any ideas what's eating them?

  11. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I just got into flower planting gardens. And I started planting my sunflower seeds last month. I plants 10 sunflower seeds and they start blooming to about 3inches then die on me. I read the directions on the package. So I do think know what I am doing wrong. This is my first time ever growing any plants.. Need to help and tips if anyone has any. And is it tolate to plants more seeds now that's it's almost the end of July?

    I'm in rental and so need to plant in containers. What size container would u recommend?
