  1. Like the slug barrier. Would like to know more about gardening with grow bags. Seems popular in the UK but I see nothing here in the US.

  3. do any good plants that grow in the sand I'm making a garden by my hut in the creek.

  4. Do you make your own human manure? I made a video about my setup. My soil is nutrient poor, less resources than Lilly.

  5. Evening Lilly, another enjoyable video with great content, thank you kindly. Check out honeyberry Bush, easier than blueberry and just as nutritious if not better

  6. Hi Lilly , you really have your garden set out very well .
I will be Very interested to see your future results…
Take care ,, jimi from Australia…..🤩

  7. Hi Lilly. Hope you and your spouse (and the dogs) are Good.
I love the anti-slug copper wire trick I How do you stop it short-circuiting when it rains?

  8. Soil is important. You also have to deal with pests, diseases and climate extremes. A family can get most of the vegetables needed to feed themselves through raised gardens with a removable plastic canopy. A 50×50 foot raised bed plot will do the trick.

  9. Wow Lily where do you get all the time, working, survival videos, knives , now gardening and it doesn't look like a small operation, wish I had your energy.

  10. I began using cinder blocks to make my raised beds because the 4×4's I was using
began to rot out after the 2nd year. All I did was insure the ground was level and stacked
them layed them w/out mortar. Layed a base layer of leaves, some soil, more leaves, then about 6 inches of
soil and was good to go.

  11. I live in Chicago USA, and you're right, soil is very important. Since the growing season here is mid May to mid Sept., compost taking 6 months is ok. I usually set aside grass clippings (nitrogen0 to mix with fall leaves. I also add blood meal. I usually end up with more compost than I know what to do with, and for the price of the blood meal.
