From @lesliecbennett –
i have loved creating this comprehensive edible landscape and family paradise for my dear and longtime client @denise.shackleton with my company @pinehouseediblegardens over the past six years. it is _such_ a pleasure to now see the garden featured in this summer’s issue of @gardendesignmag , alongside such beautiful images of the food and flowers that come from it! the thing i find most exciting about garden design is creating experiences for people that allow them to be connected to and inspired by the land they live with. this beautiful story, written by one of my favorite people in the world @dkprinzing and photographed by the super-talented @megsmithphotography , helps to illustrate some of the potential i think there is for american landscapes that reflect our families’ cultural heritage, and that bring our families and communities closer together through shared food, experience and connection — with each other, plants and the land. i’m so glad to see this garden in print and hope you all enjoy the story too!
