Thanks for this! What we call weeds, throwaways, disposables, and on and on, actually have a depth of beauty that is there if we dare to look more deeply. I subscribed to your channel recently and am glad I did. You are greatly helping the vision for my photography.
Just discovered your channel and those were some crackin' shots there. Very nice. From a former landscape sprayer- the very definition of a weed is "a plant growing in an undesired location." If you like it, it's not a weed.
Macro is another world isn't it. Amazing the beauty found just feet from the back door. I do think the dandelion is very magical, delicate and artistic to photo, and you did a great job of it there. Looks like you came in just at the right time. ha! Thanks Rachel great vlog. Wonder if you get water droplets on the dandelion ?? Umm!!
So much easier to pluck them, set them up in the house and in doing so control everything so much easier… perfect for a rainy day too
I like dandelions! I don't know why people hate them. As usual Rachel a great video.
Great work
It's nice to see a Lady doing a camera video…I would bet 95% is guys…thanks..Looks like a nice squash plant growing by the building.
Hey Rachel, what next ?. Love from U.K.
awesome shots. thanks for the feature.
You didn't give any details about the lights you used or if they were suitable or not. Thanks.
Lovely video Rachel. Your dandelion pics are amazing! Great work!
You can eat them! Both flowers in salads or the small buds roasted in a pan with butter and pepper. Or just let them be food for insects and objects for photography 😊
I love your compositions with the black fleece background. Really nice work.
Huh. Great idea for the back drop. So simple yet so illusive. Time to try it out with chives in the garden.
Great job thanks for sharing. We need more videos like this to get people out and actually shooting.
Fighting dandelions is a loosing battle. If you use poison, which I sincerely hope you don’t!, the poison WILL eventually end up in your tap water.
So we’re down to mechanical tools, some of which are easy enough to use, but they tend to make nasty little holes in your lawn. And unless you’re more skillful than I am, most of the time part of the root will be left in the ground and start a new plant.
So apart from mowing the lawn I've given up the fight, and instead I'm just enjoying these beautiful flowers! Luckily my hedge is so tall that my neighbors can’t see them. And in case they should ever complain about the seeds my flowers produce, I'd just point their attention to a nearby unused field with millions of dandelions, so my fifty don’t really make any difference. Did you know there are at least fourteen different, nearly identical species of them?
Beautiful and amazing macro photography right outside your backdoor you make it all looks awesome well done you
Hi Rach, I’m a big dandelion lover. They are so beautiful. I like laying on my back and taking the shot from under as well. I remember the first photo I took of a dandelion with a true macro lens and I was blown away. Thank you for your passion. I can see it in your expression.
I have recently this summer started to dabble with macro. I really cant afford a macro so I bought a reverse ring and am using a Pentax zoom on my Nikon 7000. It works adequately but I need to work on the aperture being on the outside. LOL
Awesome – thank You!
Very nice. Would be appreciated if you published you setting on each photo. Thx
Woah. That's awesome.
