  1. Thanks! I have been having squirrel problems and actually built a screen cage to start my plants in. I will definately try this with plants that won't fit in the cage.

  2. I have two squirrels that eat my cabbages just enough to ruin them, then move to the next one. I named them Trotsky and Stalin. I don't want to kill them, but I hope they get run over by a car or eaten by a big hungry cat. I grew giant sunflowers last year and they would climb up on the sunflower and hang by their hind feet, dangling over the flower, and eat all my sunflower seeds. When I see them, I throw dirt clods at them. They disappear for a while, but they always come back. I hate them.

  3. I have killed over 69 squirrels over the past 3 years. Now that I have a job, they are eating my tomatoes. This spice crap doesn't work and its expensive! I am building a complete chicken wire structure around my garden so they cant get in. This will cost me about 80 dollars.

  4. I tried store bought repellant (basicly chili & blood) it looked ugly on my raised bed or around planters and after a few weeks they started digging again… I guess i'm gonna have to go look for pellet gun and practice…by the way mouse trap did not work…They ate 5 my cyclamen bulbs. duh.

  5. Everyone get you a Squirrel dog, about two of em…I have a rat terrier but he is getting old and not as feisty about catching them now. Im sure you will have alot of luck with a young energetic pet…Good Luck…

  6. Last year the squirrels got a taste for my tropical hibiscus leaves. They killed two plants. I've never had a problem with them eating hibiscus leaves before. I love hibiscus and may try again with some spices or something else. I agree I don't want to kill them but I wish something else would.

  7. This little tricksters… I think an OUTDOOR CAT may be the answer… A little less SQUIRELL.. and a lot more cat

  8. Definitely, this kind unwanted guests could somehow destroy your favorite plants. I guess these ideas are the best answer to every homeowners who had encountered such problems. Nice information are being delivered on this video.

  9. going to give this a try….thanks for it not being toxic…last video the guy used moth balls…DISLIKE

  10. Very helpful garden tip, I'm going to roll around in my garden as soon as I can, let's be YouTube mate?

  11. What works for me: when I trim my rose bushes, I put rose twigs with thorns in the pots, they leave them alone! As a side perk, sometimes the rose twigs root.

  12. Also , stick plastic forks, points up, in the pots. But rose bush thorny twigs works best for me. I feed the birds, so I'll never get rid of the squirrels. I won't kill them, just want them to leave my flowers alone. I put my tomatoes and peppers in a wire cage, along with bulbs until well established.

  13. I tried using chilli powder but it's only effective for few days. I think Indian squirrels have higher spice tolerance 😅

  14. Spread crushed red pepper near the bulbs, the thicker the better. I accidently killed a squirrel with this method, because it went into respiratory distress I assume. The squirrel dropped dead right on my garlic garden. Reapply as needed with waterings.

  15. I wish this helped… it hasn't at all. I'm buying traps. When it's my food getting wrecked, it's time to seriously get it under control. They breed fast and do a LOT of damage

  16. This doesn’t work in vegetable gardens, they want to eat it they will and of course take bites out of every single one! So sick of squirrels! Only way to stop them is to have a complete chicken wire fenced garden covered walls and roof! Chicken wire and to make it dig proof too.

  17. How about using EUCALYPTUS OIL sprinkled over a cloth n kept near 4 corners of vegetable garden ? Any tip or idea or experience on this please ?

  18. Well…….I've seen many folks recommend this. However….all I can say is that after trying EVERYTHING I could find that folks recommended, and watching hours and hours of hilarious YouTube videos by very intelligent inventors trying to do all they could think of to invent something that would defeat squirrels,
all I can say to anyone at this point is…..good luck.
My conclusion is that squirrels are the smartest beings on the planet.
The only suggestion I saw down in the comments here that sounded like a possible solution is
to get a couple of squirrel chasing dogs that can live full time in your garden…..😁
