I first saw this magnificent specimen @fairchildgarden and it is a deciduous tree native to tropical areas in Central and South America. The flowers are very stunning to look at, are quite fragrant and grow on low hanging branches that create a skirt along the trunk of the tree 🤩
Fun Fact! The flesh of the fruit is white but turns blue when exposed to the air (yay oxidation!)
