Pomegranate shrubs are one of the easiest fruits to keep since they are not affected by many pests or diseases. The scientific name assigned to this shrub is Punica granatum.

Pomegranate grow in zones 7-10, and they need well-drained and full sun soil. They’re fairly drought-tolerant, making pomegranate well-suited for mild desert climates. It may take 2-3 years for your new plant to produce fruit.
