You can’t easily move your garden if it is built in the wrong spot. Take a day to observes and track the sun over the area you’d like a garden. It is also important to see how the sun moves from East to South to West across your garden. Maximize the sun, and you can grow most anything.

This is only my person experience.
I love to garden but I have an HOA husband. A pain to say the least. Our home is south facing. I will never have a raised bed garden in front of my home. Because he would never accept it and hes already told me it looks ugly. So, I have to settle for a north facing garden (back yard). I also have alot of trees (again that HOA person).
My point. Just do what you can. I'm going to have to be selective with what I grow. Partial shade items and master it. Oh well.
I pulled my garden through the first freeze. All of my pepper plants are thriving, and my Lemon Squash is loaded with small yellow fruits. My Roma and Dad's Sunset Tomatoes have fruit on the vines and are flowering. I may get more tomatoes yet. I was waiting for it to warm up a bit, so it is time to did up a batch of potatoes, and sow seeds for Late Nagasaki Cabbage, and more radishes. My Komatsuna is large enough to start harvesting leaves. The turnips, Bok Choy, Winter Choy, Hilton Cabbage, Russian Kale, Japanese Red Mustard, Tokyo Mustard, beets, carrots, kohlrabi, Yod Fah, Tatsoi, and Mizuna are all doing well. The only problem I am having with is Scarlet Kale. I've tried direct sowing, and starting transplants indoors—zero germination. As a last resort, I am going to break out the heat mat, and give one more try. If zero success, I am tossing out the seeds, scratching it off my grow list, and moving to another variety. Dinosaur Kale? Talladega County Alabama, zone 7B
