As I was decluttering my shed I found a hidden letter and key left from the former owners and it wasn’t what I thought it was. I decluttered a utility closet under the carport and organized it with all of my gardening supplies. I am one week closer to getting my home clutter-free by Christmas.

Great job with the potting shed clean out. You looked adorable in your haz-mat suit!
Perfect spot for garden tools 👍
Sherri the only thing I can think of with storing your dirt this way is if it sweats I. The container it may mold. Great video
I keep my soil, rocks, mulch at my potting table in totes. Make it easy to keep clean. You might have hubby install a way to hang your tools on the brick wall.
I was hoping the letter and key were a bit more exciting but they were very thoughtful people. Now remember put things back neatly or you'll have a mess like me and dread opening the door.
❤
Sherri, your garden shed looks great – I'm right there with you on the spider eggs 😮. I think the Hazmat suit was a perfect idea and a good chuckle. Too bad the letter and key wasn't to a safety deposit box or something similar. I'm not a Master Gardener, but I keep my leftover potting soil and garden soil in containers with lids, seems to work just fine. Thank you for sharing 😊❤️
Hey Sherri you should get a concrete drill bit you put hangers on your brick wall for you tools gives you more room for storage. Maybe Mr. C could do that for you. Also storing your compost and potting soil in containers is a great idea just keep lids tight so mold doesn't start growing. Awesome job. The paint /hazmat suit/ was a great idea to keep the expanding insulation off of you and your clothes. That stuff is crazy to work with. To bad about the letter and key. Oh don't forget to clean out the freg. 🤗💓💕💞
Hi Sherri! I found a tall wicker laundry hamper at Goodwill that was to beat up too use. It was sturdy though so I removed the lid and use it to store my shovels and racks. You have to be methodical in putting tools in and out to prevent them tangling up but it keeps them contained and from flopping all over where you can't get to them. I keep my dirt in the bag and it in an aluminum garbage can. The dirt stays moist. Using completely dry dirt when potting might leave dry spots at the bottom of the pot and kill the plant. Love the painter's suit!
Sherri, here is what I found on the net:
Peat moss can expire, as it begins decomposing right away. It's typically at its best for about one to two years after buying it. Since peat moss is a common potting mix ingredient, that means your potting mix can indeed expire.
I would pitch it, or just go ahead and spread it on your planting areas in your yard.
I’m new to your channel, totally enjoying your adventure. Did so many of the same things that you did. The care taking of your mother was a lot like mine. I split the week with my brother. I had a two hour drive home. All I did at home was sleep for two days, then laundry to go back to my parents home, to do it all over again. ❤️😘
Thank you for making a "chore" fun! What a hoot!
TFS🤩
You are a brave woman!
Girl….you make me laugh and smile. Always fun to watch you do your de-clutters, refreshes and above all DIY and decor! Tell Mr. C you can wear a painters suit, haz-mat suit, zute suit….whatever suit makes you, you. Lol, side note, I would’ve put that bad-boy on before you started clearing out and cleaning. Great job and keep on with it!
Too bad about the letter and key not leading to treasure. I used to clean houses years ago and was cleaning out a house owned by a couple who didn’t have children. The wife had passed away and the husband went to a nursing home. The house sat empty for five years until he passed away. I was hired to clean the house and basically go through all their stuff and sort and box it for an estate sale. I started gong through her purse and found an envelope from her social security check where she had cashed it and put it back in the envelope….then I found another in the same purse…and another…and another….and…
I called the person who had hired me and told her I found a substantial amount of money. She came over and we counted it all out. It was over ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! just sitting there in her purse all those years!
Great clean out. My son just built me a small garden shed so I no longer have to store my garden stuff in my basement. I’m thrilled. Also – you do really cute hairdos! I loved both ways you did it in this video – I’m terrible at doing up my hair.
You always make me smile. Haz-Mat suit. So funny. Great job with the potting shed.
You always have me laughing! Whenever Mr. C asks you what you are doing I know it’s going to be a hoot! I do miss your ASSistant Anne though. 😁
I’m a gardener but have no clue how to store those things I always use up what I buy. Anyway you crack me up. This is the real world people. Love it. See you in the next video. Love you.
I have that same painters suit for when I had to go in and clean my twenty something daughters house – she didn’t think it was as funny as I did…TFI 🕷🕷🕷
I love how Mr. C always says “Say that again?” Haha 😂 ☺️
You are so cute in how you make a terrible chore so funny. I like how your husband participates to make things funny.
Love how you keep it real! You are the best!
Sherri, great video and job well done. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
You're so funny 🤣
you could put a peg board or wire rack on the brick wall ( you'll need a drill and heavy duty screws for the brick) to hang your tools on hooks or pegs.
