Starting to home compost is a great way to protect our environment and the Earth. Here in Colorado, I have been home composting for years to create rich fertile soil for my organic vegetable garden. And I recommend that you compost too. It is so easy and if you don’t have a vegetable garden like I do, simply put the composted soil around your yard to enrich your landscape. In this video we are going to show you why you should home compost. Along with how easy it is to compost. #compost #compostbin #environment

  5. Great tips. Do you ever have any problems with animals being attracted to the food scraps? I don't have a tumbler, but have compost bins that are open on the bottom against the ground. I started to have problems with it attracting small critters and they are living in the compost bin.

  9. And when we live my husband and I are five acres we had a half acre Garden every year we chill down the remaining we would put every leaf we had in that five acres almost on top of the garden until it again we added our coffee grounds and yes I used garlic and one thing we used but also help was the old cinnamon sticks that I would like the cinnamon tea with and cook with. That seemed to help to keep the rodents away eggshells yes definitely. When fall came we chilled it the last time just before winter. And the first snowfall. After we cut for the last time two and a half acres of grass and put it on top as well our dirt was rich and dark and amazing. I forgot about having my own compost file living here in the city we're stacked on top of each other here. I miss my Gardens thank you so much for sharing your video and bringing back great memories.🤗🐕🥰👍👍👍👍
