  1. why would you service something if it functions? these buggers often break more than make more.

  2. to store water long term…water has to be treated often to be potable. a bubbler and chemicals to keep algae at bay. pool test kits will give you rough evaluations.

  3. A tip for city water and chlorine, if you fill large vessels with city water the chlorine should off gas in a day or so

  4. There's a "reset" on it's way, simple as. If you don't believe that could EVER be true let me ask you this. Is the world looking nice and peaceful and economically/ socially stable to you?
Bc it feels to me like we're about 20 percent, or so into the realisation of Cla us's filthy little reset nightmare, to me folks.
God bless the USA, stay safe. Much love and best wishes from Yorkshire, UK👍

  5. I went to my local hardware store and bought a hard rubber tapered bung plug and use it on my bathtub drain. It has held water for a week without any loss. This will give me 50 gallons of water for washing and toilet flushing.

  6. Wat do you do wen the rain water is TOXIC & ground water has been tainted? Do you have a recycling toilet? Washing machine? Shower? Dishwasher?; ANYTHING? Just store water & everything will be fine?

  7. Yeah, she just moved to Tennessee from California, and already thinks she's smarter than the people who have been doing fine , for years , without her giving advice , to the "natives" !! She would have been better off just giving the link to the expert's that SHE used , and watched and now wants to "learn" y'all about it !!
    Typical Californian!

  8. Ancient people store drinking water in copper vase. That is expensive or impossible to get now. So the trick is to buy some thin copper sheets or strip a lot of house hold solid copper wires, and just dump it into the tank. I said copper sheets and wires because of their high surface area, copper (and silver) have natural germicide properties if given enough time to work, which for a small vase, means overnight. Then you can cut down the use of bleach and other chemicals. The amount of pure copper you put in depends on desired surface area and how fast you want it to work.

  9. That shelf product is called mdf and when it gets wet, it not only molds and droops, it will flat-out break. Use real wood or a good plywood, especially for heavy items. BTW, those metal shelves do have a weight limit, and water's kina heavy.

  10. I am blessed to have found you today. You are delightful! Thank you for sharing your experiences. It is much appreciated!

  11. I bought a 1500 gallon through tractor supply and hooked it up to my water main. Every time a sink turns on or the sprinklers, the water goes through my Cistern. I put an intake and and outtake valves on it and it works great. The water is always in use and being cycled. If the water ever stops I just close the valves and use the manual valve on it. That way i don't have to worry about long term storage or chemicals. Its always fresh water. As fresh as the tap can put out lol.

  12. Uncleaned empty H2O2 should be safer than food safe. Zero bacteria. Food safe still would need cleaning.

  13. Hi, just found your channel. Regarding water supply, isn't it possible (or legal?) to drill a well near your house? Must not be a big one.

  14. You should be using FOOD grade water hoses. Regular water hose contains materials that are harmful to humans. Wal Mart sell them in 50 foot lengths. It is better to safe than sorry.

  15. When did you decide to go off grid ( so to speak)? I live in the south and I am starting over. I'm 66 years old. I have been trying to get trees growing and here comes two hurricanes. I am starting over. This time from germinating seeds from scratch. Water isn't a problem, yet, but with everything going on, I'm sure it won't be long before we have no water. I started a pond and water is a problem with the heat. I am just saying, I understand what you are going through.

  16. If you or someone you know drinks sangria, save the glass jug that has the size of one gallon or so to save your drinking water. I have had mine filled with spring water, placed on an open shelf for months with no issues. They are about 4 feets from my kitchen window (they get light but no sun).

  17. i know from personal experience, those gallon jugs containing milk/water in supermarkets WILL leak! it may take a year or two.

  18. Hey I feel ya, when it seems like there is always something. You should be able to get or make a hose connection for the outlet, If the outlet had a screw on ring, one could maybe make a simple one. Think in the way of a canning lid, ( not saying a canning lid would work) but the flat shape of it, with a hole drilled in it to fit a hose connection fitting into. Need to have a nut and gasket that will fit into the outlet, . Hose connection on the outside that the ring can fit over.
Also a garden type hose is not the best for water you may drink, for ( the ones I have seen are white in the RV sections to use for drinking water.) One other thing for your tank, Look into getting a jack, floor or bottle type to put on the back side, to raise if / when needed. Dont need to cause yourself back issues. Since yours is on blocks, you can place the jack on a block to get it closer, to the tank for lifting the back up. Best of luck..

  19. Hey again, I was just reading through some post and reminded also from other post about painting the tubs in black paint, I semi disagree, with this if you going to have it outside. Yes the black will help protect from the uv on the plastic, and maybe the growing suff in the water, but it will also make it absorb heat more, and may cause more plastic to be released into the water… so after black paint I would paint it white…reflect heat. I for myself would do a layer of black, cover with spray foam, then paint foam in white, if its going to be outside,.. or if in foam, could shape and paint like a big rock or carve it to look like blocks, wood fence, to hide it.

  20. Gosh baby girl where's your beautiful hair??? And take that silly hat off!!! And I sincerely hope you'll never ever stop making these videos my love. Your doing great so far keep up the good work young lady for you are definitely loved by this Texas girl whom thinks you're extremely wonderful!!!! From one of your subscribers!!!! And I so hope you did find a food grade bottle for this is truly paramount if push comes to shove and you need to drink it. Please bare this in mind for any future acquisitions pretty girl!!! Also you may want to aquire a cheap trailer for each not only for mobility but higher stance and tilting capability again thank you sweetheart!!!!

  21. The clear plastic bottles from Kroger that are most of the time cheaper anyway that are stiffer than the regular white ones last longer on a shelf but I've no clue how long in the 50years I've been prepping haven't leaked yet!!! Lower than normal temperatures at a constant is best so they don't expand and contract daily with the day night difference!!! Outdoor is not a good idea for drinking water try to keep them indoors in a controlled environment for further longevity sweetie!!!

  22. There are plenty of 12 volt water pumps, One doesn't needs a big pump to move water unless you are putting out a fire. Even the tiniest pump will pump 3 gallons a minute. Once the inside of the tank is clean . I throw in or blow in a box of baking soda and use a shop vac to blow or suck dry air into the tank before filling.
