Hey there!
Welcome to my channel, The Nature Patch where I like to share all things gardening, cooking and environmental science in my Australian bushland backyard.
My name is Robyn, an environmental scientist working towards completing a PhD in understanding how people’s wellbeing and their connection to nature is impacted by land use change. I’ve always loved gardening and nature and lately have been interested in growing my own organic food!
On this channel you’ll find videos relating to garden tours, ‘how to’ videos, composting, soil health, ecosystem services, and seed saving.
I try to upload twice a week and I hope you enjoy!!
π€ Filmed and edited on Yuin country. I acknowledge and pay respects to Traditional Owners of the land past, present and emerging. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.

Hope you all enjoyed the tour of the new garden! As I mentioned, I'm going to be filming a Q&A video soon as I've received a few questions about the new place! If you have any questions, leave them in a comment and I'll answer it in the video π
Congrats on the move. Garden looks awesome and a blank canvas for you to put your green thumbprint on
Thanks so much for sharing your lovely story and your grandparents garden. What a beautiful legacy! I look forward to following the progress and taking inspiration from you to continue developing my own acreage gardens π
Oh, what a beautiful garden to work your magic in !!! What a huge blessing to be able to put your very own gardens in to honor of your grandparents . I do hope you will ask your Mother again the name of those lovely shrubs or trees with the stunning blue blooms ! It is so hard to find beautiful blue flowers or blooming shrubs ! I am so excited to see all your projects come into fruition !
Hi Robyn, you certainly have some very exciting and personally rewarding times ahead, and Diane and Samson are not that far away from you. Take care.
Wow, lovely place, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to see all your videos.
G'day Robyn.
Congrats and what a wonderful space to plan and get going in. It would have been awesome to just with the pen and paper and just plan away.
Love that pear tree and I don't really have any advice on that one, sorry.
The story about being close to your family and sharing the flowers and produce is great.
It looks like you are going to absolutely love your time there, until you decide on that homestead next year.
All the best.
Daz.
Congratulations Robyn on your new garden, it looks going to be a great start up. Love the matured trees around, you may just keep it and work around them. I m sure it will look very beautiful and inspiring .
I wish you all the best in establishing your new garden and taking care of your Oma…I am looking forward to when you grow garlic since we share the same climate and I want to grow garlic for the first time with you because I would really love to cook with my own organic garlic.
purple flower plants are oleanders they are very poisonous.
how lucky to have that beautiful hydrangea. They are so beautiful. I think it is easy to propogate them! Good luck with your new adventure. π
Very excited to see your garden evolve, it's a great canvas to work from. Love seeing a bunch of native trees and shrubs around too.

Beautiful space for you to work with Robyn. Such a wonderful legacy that your Oma & Opa have left for you to continue. Also, potash on the hydrangeas works well. xx Cathi xx π
How exciting, can't wait to see what you do.
Oh Robyn this is amazing. What a great opportunity to feel the energy your sweet grandparents put into this garden space. I love how you are so patient and steward the land on your way to your own homestead. You really blessed Scott's family with that garden also! I am so excited to see your THIRD but not last garden transformation. watching a garden start from grass is one of my favorite things to do! Sending big love!
Would love to know the dimensions of the beds you are planning and also as the garden is a way from the house, what plants will you have closer to the house/kitchen?
What an adventure!!! π±βοΈ I am sure that Oma will love being in your garden! And Opa is certainly smiling!! π
