  1. Thanks so much for sharing that with us Kaye! No wonder you're so beautiful, that pic of you when you were younger is stunning! I wear my hair longer than most men here, but I am not the only pony tail walking around. As soon as I was out of boot camp I let my hair grow within reason for the military. Once out of the military I let it go. As I've gotten older, a 10" pony tail is enough. I learned a lot from your tutorial on hair cutting! Bless you Kaye, have a great day! Can't wait to see you in your next video.

  2. Omgosh that was fun! You and I have nearly the same type of hair. When mine is short, it's curly, when it's long it's most wavy and sadly in Texas it's frizzy! I started growing mine about the same time as you (from a pixie cut) but in 2020 I needed a trim so I bobbed it to my chin…curly hair is very forgiving about accuracy. Now it's just about to the middle of my back…the longest it's ever been. I'm 64 and I love it…although I don't ever wear it down and keep playing with messy buns. I'm 80% grey and love that too, although in the summer I'm convinced it's blonde. 😉🤣 BTW that is an absolutely gorgeous picture of you from your much younger years. You have aged gracefully and are still beautiful. ❤️

  3. Fantastic !!! You are such a pretty lady ! And would be so much more pretty with shoulder length hair !!!
    Trust me — I'm a man who knows. What is pretty ! I am 66 retired bricklayer —— !!! Wise choice !!

  4. Hello kaye ur hair is super amazing magnificent so please do not cut ur hair kaye,,,,, it's the 👸cinderalla 👸in you sweetheart have a lovely day ❤️💋👍😁

  5. Why in the world would anyone tell you to cut your hair ? Are they jealous much ? Sounds as if they are. Please don’t pay silly people attention . Your hair is beautiful and healthy.

  6. I haven't cut mine since we moved (2019). It's about as long as yours. I have also been trying to let all the color grow out. Hard to find a place to get it done in a rural setting (not that I want to spend the money anyway and been coloring it myself for years). Bangs drive me crazy too but I look hideous without them. I love that you shared this with us. You are beautiful inside and out and I love your long hair!

  7. I like that hair length. I myself am about to retire march of next year so I started to grow my hair out like I had back in the 60's and 70's and part of the 80's. For some reason I thought engineers needed to have short hair in the 80's. Do ask me why, as you all know an engineer is not the smartest person in the room unless we are in the room by ourselves. My wife is already calling me an old hippy, and she might be right, it just might be my younger self coming back out. I hate to say it, but I find myself driving around with the windows down just to fell my hair blowing around in my face like it would in my younger days and back then it wasn't by choice it's because cars didn't have AC.

  8. I'm 59 years old, no gray hair (yet), with mid back length hair parted down the middle and wear it in a pony tail. I have zero intention of cutting it just because I'm told that I'm too old for this style.

  9. That was fun! I’m in my mid sixties and since I started to watch your videos, have decided to just let my hair grow. I want to just let the grey come in. Also…no one gets to have an opinion about your hair!! You are a beautiful, independent and free spirited woman. This is an amazing time in life to not give a %#$@ what people think 😄😜😘

  10. you still have a beautiful face. Get it cut in a style.🥰 you can still wear that style. my grandmother use Hennna. Her hair was fire red.

  11. Love your hair, it looks like mine, to my waist. Grew it out for exactly the same reason as you! I do cut my own hair, I am very gray and wavy like yours. Usually wear it in a pony tail, might start leaving it down, get lots of compliments on my hair.❤️

  12. For our changing times Kaye, we need the long hair now. What did the Indians say about their hair? It's great long, trim every once and a while, not short. Also, when you are out look at all the women with long hair.

  13. People actually said you should cut your hair??? That is horrible. I love your hair. Loved, loved, loved this demonstration!!! I stopped all hair coloring and highlights and going to the salon. Thank you for this demonstration.

  14. People are so weird at times… I dont know who told you to cut your hair but pffffft! LOL I have long hair too and my Mama always wanted me to cut it off, she said it made me look like an old woman, I told her to look around! All the old women have short hair with poodle perms HAHAHAHA

  15. Thank you for the video. I also have long curly hair. I am nervous to cut it. This video gives me a little courage

  16. Wow. I had thought maybe it couldn't be done well enough. But times being tough I'd been wondering. Thanks for showing me. I have long hair somewhat similar to yours. I bet I have more than 4 inches that is all different length endings and split ends right now.

  17. Another great video Kaye! Gorgeous head shot of you!
I’m a fan of long hair also because of gardening season and pulling it back into a ponytail…I have to keep it away from my face! I’ve been staying away from salons as they try to cut, process, color, $$$. No thanks! Love the olive oil idea! My hair is the same way… fine, wavy, fly away & going grey.

  18. I started “frosting” my own hair w/ Clairol Frost & Tip and you might remember me doing it in the dorm @UT Martin with several of our Zeta sisters. I finally began getting my own natural grey highlights and my beautician encouraged me to stop the Clairol. Like getting you inside for a different type of video ✂️

  19. I've been cutting my own hair because I got tired of crying after any salon person cut it too short or determined I should not have a middle part etc.

  20. I cut it once, one day then the rest of the week, every day , I trim a lil here, a lil there until it's exactly what I like

  21. I have long hair and I am fixing to turn 70 In November . I am thinking getting my hair cut in a chin length blunt Bob . The bad thing about it is I won’t be able to put it up
