    uses hand saw and nails then out of no where plot twist breaks out a cordless drill! lol! planter looks awesome great idea i have access to a bunch of pallets and the wife is on me to build something like this to put on the deck for herbs and small veggie plants this looks like it will do the job nicely!

    Nice job! But WTF are you using cardboard as your barrier material? That will disintegrate within months at best! Get something durable like hardboard or cement board. Shoot, use more of your pallet wood for cryin' outloud!

    If you added some flower pot or rain gutters then the wood structure would last several years longer.

    also make tending to the plants easier to deal with

    this setup would also work wonderful as a herb garden even inside cities.
