  1. Jan thanks much for taking time out to answer my question. really like your practical approach to growing plants. has helped me alot in my plant journey. Danke

  2. I am so sorry about Max…my second cats were two pure white brothers…..one kept running out the door and someone hit him….horrible to go through since we love our kitties so much….Brad seems adjusted :)…love your first plant collection photo!

  3. Holy hanstand! Completely blew my mind! Love your art prints and story behind that and love those other pics of you too! Thank you for sharing some personal details about yourself…yes we love knowing more about you, and like your plants, u completely blew us away…so so proud of you and your an amazing human and animal friend…you radiate with love 🙂

  4. Thank you so much for this video and that you told us a little bit about you. Your long videos are great from the learning perspective and the short ones are soso funny. Thanks a lot🤸🏻‍♀️

  5. As always, thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing about yourself too. You've totally convinced me that moss poles are the way to go. I'm looking forward to starting this coming spring 2023 UK. I've been a plant parent for many years now but never really bothered with climbing plants. Your master classes have convinced me to try my hand at it. Thanks again Jan.

  6. I think that the amount of wet mosspoles might increase humidity I would like to see the humidity in a plant less room compared to the room that has all your plants within a couple days of watering them

  7. Love your videos and especially learning about you as a person. It all makes sense how intelligent & creative your presentations are! I’m also a fellow plant eater 🥰. My husband teases me that plants have feelings too LOL 😳

  8. I love these style of videos ❤ the one thing I do want to add for pests+moss poles is that if you have an existing fungus gnat problem the adults will definitely love hanging out in them 😅 not sure if the eggs or larvae can survive in there, but I also treat the pole when I treat the soil

  9. What a lovely video thanks Jan 💕 I feel like we just had a nice long friendly chat. Love your personality and approach, and plants of course. I especially loved and related to your cat story. At 74 I have just started my indoor plant journey following the demise of much loved cat who wanted to eat every green thing I ever brought into the house. Even flowers in a vase got pulled out and destroyed. Like Brad, the cat that remains doesn't touch anything, so now my journey begins and you are my escort 😘

  10. I’m so happy I stumbled on your page. All your plants are so gorgeous and all your tips have been so helpful! I’ve yet to chop and extend but one day I’ll get there when my plants get big enough!

  11. If you use spag moss the way Jan describes, it essentially acts more like semi hydro than a damp soil. Spag moss also has some anti microbial properties as well

Also I would encourage you to think about your use of the term Eskimo and consider stop using it fwiw

  12. You are so cute. 🤩Thank you for all the plant info., it really inspires me to care for my plants very well so they always give me joy.

  13. She complains: whenever I cook the stew per your explanations and my friends’ explanations, it’s still not tasty. I think you all are not telling me something because I follow all the instructions. So I asked her to explain to me exactly how she cooks her stew from beginning to end. Eg. how much water do you put in the stew. When do you put the water in the stew and so on. I found out what she was doing wrong . Well, in order to grow fairly large plants, I also think you all are not telling us something because we follow all the large leaf parents and still do not get any result.

  14. Thank you a lot for this and actually for all of your videos! Such inspiring and I really enjoy to watch your channel 🙂

  15. Thanks for another awesome videi and for sharing some good insight in the plant FOMO 🌿😂 I am definitely trying to grow the plants I have at the moment and see how big I can get them ❤️ keep the hobby going as it's always a pleasure to learn from your experience 👍

  17. Always appreciate these Q & As! Especially needed to hear your tips about buying new plants vs maintaining your collection 😬 bought a house and need to stop the purchasing spiral!

  18. Dude, love the longer hair!
I've been into plants since 2nd grade. Your philosophy has changed my attitude and the way I see my plants. I now just want what to keep n grow – on moss poles, only what I love ❤️. I even made a spec sheet for the 'moss poles'! Thank you for all the videos you have made. You have changed my life and showed me how to attain what I've always dreamed of.

  19. Very enjoyable video & interesting to learn a little more about you as a person. Thanks for sharing your creative journey & passion for plants with your international community!
