What is all this talk about bucket lists?
Hoping for more tomatoes in 2015 (for salsa and canning). Hoping the green bean seeds we saved produce. Hoping we get peaches this year and BLOOMS! I'm sure we'll be canning more pickles in 2015!
Ornamentals need rotating also….flowers can't be grown in the same area over and over again also….I see Santa didn't bring you that comb yet!
you guys are so good people. good luck everywhere
We moved to NW Wi. from NM, Brr! it's brutal up here. We do love farming/gardening up here in the summer, though 🙂
On this cold night, I've enjoyed catching up with you guys. The busyness of life has kept me away, but now I'm thinking about what spring may bring. God bless you both. I must check out your website too.
Lynn & Richard,
I started watching your videos about a year ago and really enjoy them. Last year when doing a web search I found an organization called the "Seed Savers Exchange" and dug deep into their website. http://www.seedsavers.org/ If you hover over the shop tab there is an item called "Garden Planner", a very powerful tool that provides a wealth of information for the beginner to the experienced gardener. It allows you to draw your garden, insert plants with proper spacing, tailors to your region based on zip code, addresses crop rotation and companion planting. There is specific information on plant families, feeding, pest issues etc. The software has a thirty day free trial and after that if one determines that it is worth it they can pay for either one or two years of usage. There are tutorial videos on how to get the best results from the software.
In the spring Seed Savers has a sale on live plants at their location in Decorah Iowa, we drove from the Chicago area last spring and made it an overnighter. If I recall correctly there were vehicles from nine or ten states, we met a couple that drove in from Colorado to buy plants. I really like the Seed Savers mission as stated here. http://www.seedsavers.org/About-Us/Mission/

Hello from Greece, I'm Katia we communicate while back and you helped me for my avocado plants, I'm so happy they grew beautifully. Only one went bad. Like dried up. I want to ask you if I should put them alone or in cuples? I heard they are male and female. Let me know what should I do. Another thinthat happend last week is that in 2 of my plants, one avocado and in a different balcony in my voucamvilia grew mashrooms
small and white I guess they are parasides!? Please if you have the time let me know. I hope your plants went well even though you had a bad weather.
Thanks again for your time and your help.
Ps. Actually my avocados look they need more water than you mentioned.
Thanks again, waiting for your advice.
With respect
Katia

Hi there, I really enjoyed this video about gardening and seeds. I didn't know the difference, and now I do. Thank you so much. Big hugs!! JoAnn 🐞
How high is that stack of catalogs. How do I say no when sping hunger rips up my limited garden space? Bees like flowers I like my freezer full and canning jars too . Gets me all flustered
When I was young at home very many years ago my mom would order exclusively from (L L Olds seed co)? They had connection with UW. Research and included this info. In the description in their catalogue. Then one year we got a notification Jung's was taking over? Now all the catalogues complete via highly colored pictures info. only of flavor size. Nutritive value is egnored.
Happy with less sun but when there is competition for h2o and food the trees always win.
Pilgrims, plant a seed plant a fish
