Why gardening?
There is increasing evidence that gardening provides substantial human health benefits. Studies reported a wide range of health outcomes, such as reductions in depression, anxiety, and body mass index, as well as increases in life satisfaction, quality of life, and sense of community.
Gardening can help us better focus, keep our hands, mind and body occupied, and give us something to care for.
With gardening you pay attention to the weather more. Because obviously need to pay attention to the sunlight or lack thereof. You pay attention to the rain or lack thereof so you can plan when to water the garden. With this we appreciate the seasonal changes and we become more aware of the environment that we live in.
By caring for something we grow empathy, makes us care for others.
