THE ONLY GOOD SNAKE IS A DEAD SNAKE…
I’m with you on weather sneak up 27 degreeyu
I took out a heavy plastic tarp (after heavily watering)and lined plants and shrubs up and did a tunnel over them weighted it down and earlier today I opened the end and had warm moist air come out! Nothing suffered
Kaye, In Ireland we have an expression about Garlic. And since your climate is close to mine maybe give it a go! "Plant for Samháin (Halloween)for the treat in Meitheamh (June)" This allows for longer stratification – longer hitting of cold on them and you get bigger and more numerous cloves.
Kaye dear, none of my business but I have to say this, you got waayyyy too much going on!! I know you want too stay busy but…………….
Wasn't it yesterday we were complaining about the heat 🤭😁
KAYE: get your kitties away from SNAKES!!!! Do you know how many pets die from snake bites every year? LOTS. Talk to your vet they will tell you. Dogs usually get bit on the nose because they are curious and smelling them. I'm shocked you didn't get them away from the snake and or remove the snake from your direct area.
Your going to kill your hosta's by watering them and not letting them go dormant. What will happen is the pot will freeze (water) and the roots will freeze.
I love the Peanuts/Snoopy vibe musicin the begining! Perfect choice. Your sunroom looks just like my living room right now. I posted a picture over on Freesteading of the olive trees, dragonfruit and greenstalk full of droopy egyptian and Okinawan spinach invading my living room. I hope you join Freesteading! You are a perfect fit for it! Watching you rush around on your deck, seeing the garage mess with the leaves, the struggle with the passion fruit- it was like watching myself! I wish you were my neighbor so there would be two of us. And I would help you. For whatever that is worth. Haha. Nice video!
Kaye i take vitamin C capsules
and cod liver oil capsules,,for my joints Ed
Hi Kaye, I just wanted to make a recommendation to unhook your hose from the house if it's going below freezing even if it's supposedly "frost proof"- don't ask how I know
Oh how I hope that pinched nerve is healed! Homesteading women. We just get it done somehow. Lol
We had 14 degrees last night (17th). I think we will have a few nice days here in northern South Dakota but Ryan Hall Y’all is saying we will have winter soon! So glad Patch is back. I hope she is ok. My heart breaks when any of our farm animals are hurt or hurting….and when yours are missing!
Kaye, you're amazing and seriously motivated! A man would be very fortunate to have a wife like you! I doubt very strongly that you spend any time in a Gym! No need.
You're working out daily!
An old saying says, even a viper (snake) doesn't die till sunset even without its head! That snake is not a viper and could be a friend to your garden. It took me a couple years to learn friend from foe when it comes to snakes. A big black snake is great to have around the homestead. They eat rodents mostly but they will eat eggs right from the nest if you have chickens. Good move on the corn snake.
Synthetic vitiams are not recognized by the body like the body does with naturally sourced vitamins. And of course an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Tho it's nice to have natural cures on hand too!
Maybe someone already suggested this and I missed it. But just in case, maybe have a dolly to help with the plant moving or find some of those support straps that you put around your upper body that help take the weight? And all I can imagine for the lip in your garage is possibly finding a wedge of wood that will fit there as a mini ramp for your plants? Hopefully that was clear, I'm using talk to text because I'm listening to your video while I'm driving lol
great video, and thank you. i will be bring my plants inside we are getting down in the 30's . and, that snake was creepy . i hate snakes bad or good there is not enough room for the both of us. lol
I love those concrete edging. I was blessed with some from previous owner and FOUND some for free! 🌱🐾❤️
Patch! 🐾🐾🐾🐾✔️🌱🙂
When I brought mine in I am finding Alot of nats in the dirt. What can I do to get rid of them. It's like the dirt came alive when it got warm 🙁
That was me schlepping my plants in tonight in NoVA. This works to keep cats off a certain spot on the rug. Try wrapping aluminum foil over the top of the pot, covering the soil. put a layer directly on the dirt. Cats dont like the feel of tin foil, especially if it is crinkled up. They also don't like bubble wrap so put some in the dirt or on top of the tin foil. ❤
The thing's we do for the love garden. Priceless. I dislike snakes , i call them all king cobras 😂
